She was quick to get menu to us. It took 1 hr to get food. The onions on the patty melt weren’t cooked. The burger had no taste. The Mushroom on the side were not batter cooked. Over cooked and dry. The Mushroom Swiss had no taste, very little cheese. No one else had ordered food. Shouldn’t of taken that long.When we were done, it took forever for her to bring the bill. A guy shooting pool, motioned for her to get it. Then she didn’t pick it up. Went to the bar to give it the bill to her and the same guy from the pool table came over and got it. We like trying out new restaurants. Have been to many, this one is on the list to not go back.

Ordered the mushroom and swiss burger. It was definitely made with fresh ingredients, but was not seasoned at all. Kind of bland overall, and not very many mushrooms. The place has a real backwoods bar feel, that’s for sure!

Called and ordered food for carryout. We have only liked the food especially the Philly cheese steak and sandwich and ordered a side of mushrooms to go with it. Got home only to realize the sandwiches were only half the size for the same price. It was mostly bread and part of our food was missing. Called and was told we had never ordered the food we were missing even though we were charged for it. Asked if we could just return the food since we were highly disappointed in the food and hadn’t touched it. We were told we could not return the food nor get a refund or credit for the food we never received. Will never go back there again for a meal. I would not recommend their food.

The new management is really making great changes down here. Jeremy is cooking some phenomenal food. Friday fish fry is the best I’ve had in the area in years, hand battered chicken strips are also amazing.

My husband and the Backwoods about every 2 years, and that is way too often. Our food took over 45 minutes to prep- and the place was dead on a Monday night. They forgot our chips. They made the burger plain, after it was brought out I asked for toppings such as ketchup, mustard, lettuce, etc. Its not a clean feeling place.
