I’m in the area working relief shifts for the week, surviving off of cereal and pb&js. As a NY native, I was craving pizza, so I stopped into Lettopalena’s after shift, and they happen to be doing their Thursday special. I got a large cheese pizza with pepperoni and pineapple for $10 and change. Let me tell you, this pizza is delicious! Dough- hand tossed with perfect crust, sauce- sweet but not too sweet, and just the right amount of cheese and toppings. I got it to go but sat at the counter while they made my order. Reminded me of my hometown pizza- family owned and operated, great atmosphere, relaxed and friendly. I only wish I could take them on my travels!!!

I just spent $76 here and will never, ever order here again and will make sure to spread the word that if you are unsatisfied in any way, don’t bother calling to tell them, in hope of them fixing it. I was actually hung up on when I called to tell them that the Chicago deep dish pizza I ordered was totally inedible. I tried to pick up a slice and all of the toppings fell right off and the pizza was actually swimming in a pool of water. Now I know there are fresh tomatoes on it but there’s absolutely no excuse for a pizza to be so soggy that it’s dripping in water. I told the girl on the phone this and she said ” That’s how Chicago deep dish is supposed to be.” No, it’s really not. I said I’ve had it before and never was it so soggy, like sopping wet dish rag, in all my experience. She then said “Well, we’re fast food.” Really??? I’ve never even had fast food that pitiful. I then said I wanted to talk to the manager and she hung up on me. Is this how you treat customers? I’ve worked at a few pizza shops in my day and let me tell you the right response to a customer: “I’m sorry it was like that, let us take it off your bill or send you some kind of huge coupons.” I would never argue with the customer, trying to convince them that that’s the way it is and then hang up on them. That deep dish of disgust was almost $18. And then to be hung up on? Man, you’ve got some really great staff there. We’ve ordered here before a few times but will never again.

1 thing that is hard to get with Pizza shops is consistency. Not only do they make a fantastic pizza with tasty toppings, you can order months apart and it is perfect every time… Other pizza places i go to and order the same exact thing results in pizzas that are nothing alike, one time they are burnt, one time they are way to saucy. Lettopalena’s never has disappointed our lunch time ordering here at the shop and the staff is always top notch!!!

Great family owned restaurant. Great deals and even better food. Our family orders the same thing every week. Our pizza is done when they say it will be every time. It tastes just as good every week. The staff and owner always seem happy to greet you when you walk in. If you like consistency this is the place to go. Seriously just try it. You won’t be disappointed.
