Was so excited to try this place as I am a huge fan of bbq. Mostly make myself on my green eggs. The woman behind the counter asked me to leave a review so I am. The sides were horrible the jalapeño mac & cheese tastes and looks like it’s from a couple days ago the coleslaw and potato salad were just OK I’m being nice however the fried okra was good. My girlfriend had a Cobb salad with pulled chicken a failed to tell me they had no bacon or egg for the salad so I was surprised when I got back to find lettuce tomato and pulled chicken. The chicken was so dry it’s basically inedible.
I had brisket and burnt ends the brisket is chewy it’s not tenser at all and the burnt ends are like mush sitting in a cup of liquid.
Honestly I am so disappointed I was so excited to drive us as it’s right down the block from my business.

Absolutely terrible!! AVOID!

I just deleted my old one star review for this place where I had ordered delivery from them and gotten violently sick so I could tell you all again how bad the place was. I didn’t realize I had their food before (again I ordered delivery from them during the pandemic) so I popped in for lunch. The sampler tray sounded good in theory but other than the burnt ends and fritters it was god awful food. While being inundated with Christian Gospel, I had to put up with bland collard greens, mushy fries, soggy garlic bread, and tasteless meats which is the biggest sin of them all. The sauces redeemed the food a bit but ribs and chicken needed so much help. Oh and there were insects in my fountain drink. Now to see if I get violently sick again from them.

The other bbq places should pack it up now. Holy Hog is authentic slow cooked deliciousness. The Hog and Heifer sandwich is a masterpiece. Sides are incredible. Service friendly. Great prices. I hope to see them in West Boca soon, but will drive for this food until then. Excellent!

I am a true BBQ foodie. Holy Hog Barbecue is brand new and just ok. The staff is very nice especially the owner.

I ordered the 1 meat platter which included 2 sides. I got the brisket which was fatty and not much smoke or flavor. For sides, i had the baked beans, good and the signature slaw which is different and very good. Also include Texas toast, also fair.

My wife ordered the chicken sandwich which included 1 side and she got the mac n cheese.

So the $16.95 2 meat special & 2.95 store bought Vanilla pudding. Not Banana pudding. Just 3 mini vanilla wafer cookies on top.NO BANANAS in sight as you can see. The Mac n cheese taste like cheese wiz Mac n cheese. Even kraft mac n cheese would have been better.. The 2 meat plate was double wings 6 wings. Food wasn’t tasty. Portion of the supposed to be Banana pudding was so small. This place disappointed me. 1st & last time for everything. Not enough food for the price and never again.

Great BBQ. I had pulled pork on Texas toast lunch special with Brunswick stew on side. Great food. Crazy low price of $5.95. Smoky spicy sauce is very hot and really good. Friendly service.

I am a Texas girl, so I need my BBQ! I love their “lunch box”: a meat sandwich, I request brisket marbled (fat on), a side and a drink for $9 bux. Troy’s was my “go to” but Holy Hog is closer and their prices are better. I throw all 3 sauces on their buttery toasted bun, it’s so yum!

My son doesn’t even like potato salad, but add some salt and pepper and he loves it their’s, especially the bacon they throw on top!

Got the mini corn dogs, mac and cheese, and the husband got pulled pork, collard greens, and bacon mac. All the food was delicious, piece was right, and staff was incredibly friendly! We will definitely be back. Garlic toast was also very good!

3.74 out of 5. I have tried it twice now. It was Tasty and authentic Smoked Bbq in a clean and friendly environment in an awesome location. 3 house brand sauces on the table (hot, sweet, & carolina style) plus Krystal’s Hot sauce, Louisiana Peppers in Vinegar and Heinz ketchup for the kiddos or french fry fans. Brisket was sliced nicely, tender and had decent amount of smoke flavor. Next time I will try the ribs and report back.

This place was a nice addition to the Delray area when it opened. Now the food is mediocre. There is one dedicated employee that isn’t happy with no help and it shows. They finally had a second person working there today and was busy on her phone. Sandwich was full of the ends and fat. Not to mention the stale bread. It seems it’s time to move on and locate a different bbq place.
