Excellent food! Great use of spices in a way that really make the flavors pop! MKE has a few really good Indian restaurants but familiar dishes tasted a little different and had some soup that was omg. Bhanu waited on us, very friendly and enthusiastic. Sorry for the half eaten food pics but I hadn’t planned on reviewing except that the meal brought me a lot of joy! Taking some home for the kids

I can’t wait to go back and try the lunch buffet. Our first experience there was for dinner around 5:30 p.m. on a weekday and it was fantastic, so I’m looking forward to trying lunch. Chana Masala and the Mushroom Curry were so delicious. We were the only customers in the place, so it was nice and quiet. The waiter was friendly and attentive. Our food came out really quickly and was plentiful; we took some home. Prices are reasonable. And the BEST thing is that they have a whole vegan section! Never having been there before and not researching the menu in advance like I usually do, I walked in and asked the first employee I saw if they happened to have any vegan dishes, fully expecting them to give me that quizzical look like they never heard the word before, or they just say no, at which point I always turn and walk out. But this time the gentleman grabbed a menu and pointed to a part of it and I saw the words “Completely Vegan.” Yippee! We sat right down and had a fabulous dinner. I walked over to the lunch buffet section to see what they offer and most of the labels said “dairy-free” so that’s why I’ll be there for lunch as soon as I can. I hope they do well in this location and stick around for a long, long time. I’m telling everyone I know to go there.

I had such high hopes, but I was seriously disappointed by the food. Positive: welcoming host, attentive server, clean dining room, decent prices and portion sizes. Negative: food & flavor. Indian is my favorite cuisine and I became fond of Himalayan and Nepalese food while in EU this summer, so I was excited to try this out. However, this was one of the least impressive chicken tikka masala dishes I’ve ever tried. It was absolutely blah—not spicy enough and not the complex blend of flavors Tikka masala usually has. The chicken was also dry. I ordered off the menu instead of the buffet, thinking they’d make the tikka masala fresh, but it tasted like it was just reheated from the buffet with more pepper added to the sauce. The rice was equally disappointing. Buttery (?!) and an odd flavor. Even the chutneys fell short. Watery tamarind and an oddly bland cilantro chutney. Hopeful another visit or trying the buffet ($17.95) next time will yield a different result. Maybe the Momo and other dishes are more their specialty.

We really like Himalayan Yak! It’s a tried and true for us. We usually get the Tandoori Chicken which is always delicious and freshly made, Chicken Makhani has a great sauce, their Lamb curry is flavorful too. We also love their vegetarian dishes (yellow daal and aloo gobi!) and garlic naan. Definitely worth checking out. The owners and team working are super nice too. Even getting it delivered, it’s great every time.

Wow, what an excellent buffet. It’s an Indian buffet, and the food is colorful in appearance. Colorful is also a great way to describe the taste of the food. The nice thing about buffet style is I want to try a little bit about everything, and for me, the stands out were the marsala chicken and the marsala hot tea. Everything was amazing, but those were my two highlights. The staff was friendly, and the dining room was bright and clean, so yes, we will be going back

We love to hit up the lunch buffet. I personally think they keep the flavors to medium in the buffet so if you like it super hot you’ll need to add some hot sauce etc. If you like bland food then maybe stick to rice etc. I’m vegetarian and usually get everything in the veggie side and thankfully they keep the meat dishes to another section. They offer also chai with the buffet price which was a really good one. Please support our local businesses! This is why we love Bay View let’s keep them here!

The lunch buffet is a great deal for the price. The majority of the dishes are vegetarian (which I’m a fan of). The fried okra and gulab jamun were standouts. And there is all you can drink masala chai! The restaurant is clean and welcoming. The person running the restaurant was kind, attentive and helpful.
