It was family pizza night and it couldn’t have been more disappointing. The pizza was horribly dry. The mean was hard and impossible to chew. The cheese was nonexistent. After being told by the worker that claimed to have worked there for 13 years that its extra cheese, I was expecting a great pizza and not the one picture. The dough was so incredibly flat and had no taste at all. I will be leaving this review on multiple platforms. I will also be requesting a full refund for my order. Horrible…..just horrible!!!!

I wish I could give this restaurant zero stars. My pizza was disgusting! I paid for extra cheese and it was so dry and overcooked, I could use it as a frisbee. I spoke to the manager and he kept saying it’s extra cheese when clearly a blind person can see it wasn’t extra cheese. I paid $17 for an overcooked, bland piece of cardboard and dried out wings. They Honey Chipotle wings had no sauce. I wasn’t given my Ranch. This is the worst experience I’ve had all year. Highly disappointed. I will be asking for a full refund or be reporting to the BBB. I took a photo to show just how bad and unappetizing it was.

Really annoyed used to eat here a lot but came in tonight to be told they charge for Parmesan cheese even if I only get (1) packet for my pizza and cheese sticks they were too cheap to even give me Mariana sauce for my cheese sticks. Lady was ok at the front but annoyed they don’t even give you that with your pizza she did get a bit of attitude telling me that’s why they give us the “seasoning packet” sorry food place won’t be back as long that is a policy don’t know if it’s actual rule or the lady was trying to hard to get along with.

I have tried to call repeatedly and speak to a manager and have been told this number is temporarily unavailable? What??
I had a very nasty encounter with a delivery driver yesterday. Sunday, July 27, 2025 I specifically put no contact and left a note saying please leave food by the door. I had also paid and left tip when I ordered online. When I realized the delivery driver was at outside I open the door to see if there was a problem and he proceeded to yell and cuss me out saying WHAT THE HELL MAN! ( repeatedly ) and say CAN YOU NOT HEAR???? IS THIS YOUR PHONE NUMBER?? CAN YOU NOT ANSWER YOUR PHONE?
Call didn’t come through. I tried explaining to the guy I had left a note but he didn’t want to hear me out and kept saying WHAT THE HELL MAN! Mind you I was home with my 2 year old ( he was startled hearing all this commotion ) and my cousin.
….. P.S. – I’m very disappointed with this delivery encounter because when I usually do carryout the employees are actually nice and friendly

Papa J’s in Shallotte has an amazing staff. They took the time to give us extra care and attention. John, Stephanie, and Chris took great care of us and we’ll be telling everyone what a terrific team John leads. They showed grace, and were an excellent representation of what customer service should be, even under the pressure of a holiday-weekend Saturday night rush. Thank you Papa John’s of Shallotte!

Stopped here to pick up a quick meal on our way home from the beach. I mentioned my child had gotten hurt on the beach (cut her foot on a clam pile), and we were just looking for some quick pizza on our way to the rental. Guy took our order and said I got you. It seemed like he had placed us in front of the other orders. We had our food in 10 minutes at a busy time. 10 out of 10
