For sauces I tried the Seoul Spicy Sauce and the Mayo Siracha and like both with my food. The service was friendly and chill.
Their base and protein were ok, though I wish they weren’t out of chicken. The bancha choices were decent but their kimchi could’ve definitely been spicier. All in all good for a quick if adequate lunch.
Pros: Michael is an amazing person, his enthusiasm for his work is clearly evident. He was the only person working at the store and gave his 100% I seriously hope they’re paying him well. Michael, I hope you get to own your own place some day, I’m rooting for you!
The protein available is quite good and the portion size is large. Good selection of base layer as well. I ordered the mixed rice with Korean steak and ate everything. The home made hot sauce is also a delight.
Cons: The side dish game is super weak. You guys need a different kimchi vendor ASAP, that’s the worst kimchi I’ve ever eaten. I tossed both the kimchi and potatoes, simply couldn’t bring myself to swallow. The mushroom was mediocre at best. I didn’t try the other sides but I can only imagine based on the 3 I tried.
Tip: Get double protein and skip the veggies; you’ll have a much more enjoyable experience.
The portion was large enough to last 2 meals.
The food is adequate if you’re hungry and plan to mix everything together and gobble it up. As a treat, each component on its own felt lacking. I didn’t know kimchi could be so bland.
