I had the lamb over rice. It is rare to say that I felt like I got more than I expected, but for $9…I could not finish it all. The lamb was cooked perfectly, same with the rice and came together with the sauce.
Seemed clean, the cook was friendly. I was there late on a Friday and did not have to wait.
Great location, easy to get to from the many hotels or Grove St Path Station.
I would definitely go back again to try something different.
Finally, one of the previous reviews mentioned the prices. Unlike many trucks I have seen, the prices were all prominent and no mistaking what each item costs.

The guy is awesome, full of humor. I tried falafel over rice ($10) , and he made it very tasty with his own magic and customization. Normally, you get full-sized falafel, but he made them with onion, spices, and oil seasoning.

Best halal truck in the area. Chicken and lamb are grilled with onions and bell peppers. Salad seems fresher and of better quality than other carts nearby and includes lettuce, tomato, and cucumber. White sauce and hot sauce are good. I just wish the rice had more flavor and a bit more texture.

Just moved to JC and wanted this to be my first food review. The lamb and chicken combo with rice and salad is excellent! Everything is perfectly balanced (mix it up when you get home) especially with some white sauce and a little hot sauce. The guys are super friendly and I’ve never been the only customer ordering/waiting so that alone says something. I walk past this place on my way home from work daily and will be a regular for sure. Notably high-quality ingredients, preparation and unique flavor.
