Our first time here even though it’s been in town for a while. Everything was really good! The food was hot and fresh and reasonably priced. The fries were really good!! Greatly atmosphere. Our server was really good! Attentive but not overly. Really enjoyed our dinner.

We had a large group of 10 for lunch. The food was so delicious and portions so huge we couldn’t eat it all! It was so yummy! And the kids played a few games so it was a great day! Recommend! ❤️

Great vibes and what a dance floor! I’d never been and the staff was very accomodating and informative. Spacious dining area, pool haul room, and saloon for line dancing! They even have free educational times in between songs to teach beginners. Will be back!

I didn’t try the food. The line dancing was not beginner friendly. Only a handful of songs were “taught” and the last one was a choreography made up by “Dancin’ Cat”. Nothing wrong with any of that honestly. I’m from out of town and the home crowd seemed to be really enjoying themselves. AND line dancing was free. My first issue was with the pours. All of my drinks were weak, yet expensive. The last one I ordered, I saw the bartender pour another weak pour, spill half of it by accident, then refill it with ice and juice and call it a day. Certainly disappointing. The TRUE issue though was the ABYSMAL service. The bar in the line dancing room was practically unattended. Sure they were around, occasionally but would evaporate as soon as they were needed. Heck, the locals even seemed to have a hard time getting served. The main bar wasn’t much better. I can understand being busy and service taking time. However, for me to walk up to the bar and for there to be…..nobody? Not a single person to be behind the bar at all for minutes at a time? Even longer waits at the line dancing bar to the point I just never got served there. Utterly shocking. All of that combined with the less than stellar line dancing experience means I just can’t recommend this place.

I had an amazing experience at The Great American Ranch in Mechanicsville, VA! The space is huge and welcoming, with a great patio, private rooms, and even a live band area., which made the tailgate experience so much fun. The food were top-notch; The staff was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience effortless and enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back, without working

This was our first visit and what an amazing location. They have something for everyone, bands, dj, Sports on all tje TV’s, in door and out door bars as well as Bull riding. This hidden gem of Hanover county is hard to beat. A really good venue and huge beverage specials every day. Very family friendly with a game roo.e and tables of 10 with their own tv. We will be heading back, I hear they have line dancing on Wednesdays. Give them a try if in the area, we drive 40 min, and it was well worth it. Right off the expressway in Mechanicsville across from the high-school.

Great place, had a lot of fun playing trivia and country dancing. The food is good, I wouldn’t call it amazing, but it was good. Wait staff were all super nice. We’ll definitely be back!

My husband loves this place but the food is awful. I’ve gone with him 3 times and I just can’t go again. Please step it up. We love supporting local restaurants but the food is not edible.

GAR is a long way from home for me but I make the drive for line dancing and half price burgers on Tuesday. The crowd is fun. The burgers are great!

We have been twice so far. The service was great both times and the food was mixed. For dinner we ordered cheeseburgers and the loaded fries which are part of the happy hour. Cheeseburgers were great and loaded fries seemed like they were sitting for awhile before coming to us, the cheese was already hard. The second time was breakfast and I ordered the”World Famous Pancakes”. They were burnt, you could smell them as soon as they arrived. They put a golden brown one on top to make them look better I’m assuming. Was not edible.
