We just stopped by and we’re lucky enough to find a place at the bar. This was our first time at the public kitchen and the menu had a good selection of sandwiches and meals. They also had specials on meals and drinks.
Being our first time there and having so many tempting items on the menu, the wait staff and bartenders were very helpful in their descriptions and tastes for to help us decide on items for dinner.
The special grouper for dinner was outstanding.
And my wife had the salmon which was one of her favorites of all time.
For dessert they had a special seasonal pumpkin lava cake with my statement being “I wouldn’t eat that whole thing” turning Out to false.
They had several beers on tap with a few locals crafts and the standard selections.
They also have a great craft, cocktail and martini menu.
Price was good for the food and service.
It’s a little bit of aride for us. We were just passing by but I will definitely make the trip back.

Nice experience, good food; though wish the lighting was a little better. It was a bit dim reading the menu (saw others using their phone flashlight). I had the baked haddock and sweet potato fries which was delicious. Staff was very friendly. Will go back another time to try other options.

I ordered the steak tips. They didn’t look like steak tips. Looked like they took a piece of steak and cut it into 4 piece. There were tough and hard.
The asparagus was not cooked.
Steak tips are made from sirloin flank or a tri-tip.

Went for the first time and very impressed. Food was reasonably priced. Service was great. But the real reason to go is the food. Someone paid attention in culinary class. Seriously, everything was cooked perfectly and the dishes were a nice mix of subtle flavors. Portions left my wife and I complaining about how stuffed we were. Really surprised with how good it was. Definitely going back.

Service was a little slow, but polite. Food was subpar. The fried pickles were good but the truffles fries were burnt and flavorless. The fig and pear flatbread was inedibly sweet- sweet fig jam, sweet pears, sweet honey. I assumed the goat cheese would balance these flavors but there were only a few crumbles. Work on your flavor balance please! Especially with prices this high.

We were delighted to have lunch here yesterday, Monday the 16th, as we have been to the Wakefield location multiple times over the last five years. The Reading location has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The silver tin ceilings nicely reflect the amber lighting making it cozy and romantic. There is a large bar with ample seating and high tops to complete the lounge area; in the back is regular seating, and at this location, they can seat larger parties. There is even a glass fireplace to keep it cozy! When the weather warms up, there is a large patio area that is going to be so much fun! Another great thing about this location is there is a parking lot; it is not huge but is nice compared to the wakefield location, which is street parking only.

Food: We started with the grilled sourdough bread that had whipped ricotta with black garlic, mango puree, and prosciutto. When reading the menu, I was super intrigued about this combination and wondered will it work. Boy, does it! The salty, sweet, rich umami flavors are layered and make the mouth sing! It’s 7 AM, and I am craving this bread right now! We also got the buffalo cauliflower, this was a large serving, and the heat was just right on the cauliflower. Entrees: I got the fish tacos which were cooked perfectly, crispy outside, and tender fish in. They do grill the tortillas; they are so tasty! A friend got the nachos and loved them; huge serving! Hubs got the steak tips, and they were grilled to perfection and so tender and flavorful. Our other friend got the meatloaf which he loved, and asked for a side of mac and cheese, part way thru he decided the meatloaf belonged with the mac and cheese and finished his mashed potatoes before delving into that combo, which he said was really good!

The drinks were great, it is a full bar, so they can make you your regular orders, but they have a pretty creative cocktail menu, too, I tried the 5 3 0, and it was really well balanced. Great bourbon and whiskey lineup as well.

Since we were celebrating the hubs pre bday, we got the churros and to our surprise, we were given a beautiful plating of the churros and their caramel lava cake, which, omg, soooo good!

Service: From the management all the way to the food runner, service is top-notch here, and you can tell that they care if customers are having a good time! Michelle was our server and was so gracious while we were waiting for our friends to arrive. She chatted with us a bit about the Wakefield location and how it was going here.

Prices are fair for what you get. As you can see, the serving sizes are large!

I have come here three times and get the tuna bowl every single time. That should say enough for this review

(Also I tried my mom’s gf meatball pizza. Great crust, soft and thicker than other gluten free pizzas)

Excellent place to drop in real quick and refuel. The chicken sammich is huge! My crew got burgers and I got the banh mi BBQ pork. It was delicious. The place was super busy and near capacity when we stopped in for an early din din. The food came out as it was ready all hot and steamy. We also got the fried pickles and buffalo tenders. Everything was yummmyyy…if we are in reading again, we will def be hitting this place up. The bar is also really cool, with a bunch of great local beers to choose from.

Best salmon dish “evah”. Nice clean atmosphere. I love the design of the bar with the railroad track as a bar rail for your feet. Keisla, the bartender is awesome! Great choices of beer. If I could give this place a 6 star I would. So, I will give the food my FGB rating. First time rating FGB to any restaurant.

The Salmon dish comes perfectly cooked over a bed of rice and slightly charred broccolini; topped off with avocado and red roasted peppers.

The meatloaf dish comes wrapped in bacon over mashed potatoes and asparagus; topped with 3 delicious onion rings.

FGB.
