Went for dinner and got a Bento box of teriyaki chicken and tempura. Food was ok and nothing special. The lady servers were very friendly and attentive. Maybe ill try another dish next time around. Restaurant is cleaned.

They’re friendly 🙂 their service is excellent.
I’ve been here once and had an excellent experience. It was my partner’s first time and he enjoyed the food. He even liked the salad here! Lol

Our table had potstickers, teriyaki chicken, rice, spicy Korean chicken, sushi among other things. All of it was quite tasty and the service was good.

The food is excellent (love their house chicken salad) and I’ve come here for years.
But the service is generally not great and they don’t seem very friendly. Always a little disappointing.
Still definitely recommend despite that.

A family favorite for decades, we have to go there when we’re in Morgan Hill. Everybody loves the chicken salad and some ordered it for an entree, but it comes as a side with a lot of the meals. A wide variety of Korean, Japanese and Cantonese will please just about everybody at this cozy little spot.

I lelf a review on this business almost a year ago. It was a mistake that I didn’t notice untill recently and it was negative, It was not ment for this restaurant it was ment for China Palace another restaurant in town that has been in the community for a very long time that has gone downhill, but this is not about them. So I want to apologize, and leave a review for this restaurant that it deserves.
This restaurant has been a staple in Morgan Hill for as long as I can remember. I have lived in morgan hill since nineteen eighty nine. Im a bit of an O.G. The food here is delicious and consistent. I had not been here in a few years but once I realized that I left the sense deleted negative review. I had to come and show my support, and it is just as I remember, wonderful. Wonderful food and wonderful service. My parents have been come here for there for their anniversarys for going on 35 years, partly because it’s tradition, but also because they serve a unique menu of Japanese inspired cuisine with an American twist. My grandparents alos used to also frequent offend. So if you haven’t tried moon’s kitchen, or if you just haven’t been in a while you really should make a vist this weekend.

I ordered 2-item bento here. Teriyaki chicken was good. The sauce is what makes it tasty. Tempura not bad, either, but pretty scant amount of one piece each of shrimp, carrot, brocolli, onion, and mushroom.

In asking for dipping sauce for the tempura, which is standard at Japanese restaurants, the kind lady chuckled and pointed to the cup of a thick, white dressing on my bento and said, “This, tempura sauce.” I initially thought this was ranch dressing to go with my side of chicken salad. And I was correct. I dipped my tempura into the white dressing, and it was indeed, ranch dressing.

Good food, warm and friendly staff. Also, good stewards of the community. Watched staff bring rice out to a hungry homeless person. Will be back!

I like this restaurant a lot. From the outside it might not look like much but go inside and it’s quite charming. You’ll get some great traditional Japanese flavors and although Sushi is on the menu, there’s not much and a ton of other stuff to try. I’ve been in multiple times now and will definitely be returning. Great prices too!

Moon’s Kitchen has been around for 20+ years, glad they made it through the pandemic! All the menu options are delicious but my personal favorites are the salmon and chicken bento boxes and California rolls. If you are ever in town, I highly recommend this mom & pop restaurant!
