Ordered two wet burritos (al pastor and steak). The steak burrito was okay, the meat was lacking in flavor from being grilled or seasoned. If it wasn’t for the rest of the ingredients the burrito would have been mediocre at best. The sauce on top of the burrito was good and flavorful. The al pastor burrito was really good. The whole thing was almost spilling out of the container. The meat was really good and flavorful with really good grilling flavor and seasoning. Next time I order, I’ll get me another al pastor instead of steak.
Update 10/29/2022: ordered another two Wet burritos one with AL Pastor and the other Carnitas. Both were great. The al pastor was seasoned well and tasted great. The carnitas meat was tasty with that deep fried taste and well seasoned and plenty of meat. I also ordered a California Super Burrito with fish. The burrito overall tasted good but the only thing I didn’t like was that the fries tasted stake like it was sitting out for awhile under a heat lamp and there wasn’t much fish in the burrito, I thought there would be a whole fish filet or two but instead the fish looked like it was chopped up into cubes. There was more fries than there was fish which was kind of annoying since I paid extra $3 for the fish and there was only a few cubes of the fish.

Quick and friendly service. The food was decent but nothing to write home about. The shrimp was better than the carne asada. I’d probably try the fish or pastor next.

I love this place and have been coming to the truck or restaurant for almost 10 years, but they need to get it together with their hours. There have been numerous times that I’ve come during normal business hours, say around 7pm like today, and they’ve already gone home. I moved out of the area and always look forward to getting this when I’m in the East Bay, and it’s seriously so frustrating that they leave early at random. There was also like an entire month that the truck was gone entirely last year or so. Called the restaurant and they confirmed they weren’t using the truck for the month but didn’t post that info anywhere. You gotta manage your business better because you’re losing customers.

my go-to burrito place. Always friendly service. I like my burritos very spicy, and la estrella is one of the few places that will go as heavy on the habanero as I like. Super fast if you order over the phone, too. I mostly eat vegetarian and they make a very good veggie burrito. The fish is good, too.

Love it and always cool to be there at times for the community that supports it. Hopefully it can be more ready for Ubereats drivers on the go for fast service for the customers so that it can be fresh and hot and not cold. But it’s at a very good location to be at and notice on traffic. Hope to see more food trucks like it at other locations of services. Nice that it shows you what you are getting and the prices to and hope to have new stuff on the menu or a taco Tuesday special to as well or weekend specials to.

Made an order directly from their webpage. Estimated delivery at 30 minutes. 2 hours later, nothing. The food truck does not answer phone calls, I’ve been calling for an hour, there are no order updates.
There is no one to talk to, no one to complain to, and no way to even cancel the order. I tried to reach out to Otter, their weird online ordering system, and there is no phone number or chat.
Now I have to do a credit card charge back to get my $40, and I missed my lunch.
Zero stars if I could. Food was mediocre previously anyways, so this is the last time I try La Estrella. Thanks for wasting my time.
EDIT FOR REPLY: I ordered from your La Estrella/Otter. My credit card was charged. I was given an order ETA and told my food was being prepared. That’s the last thing that happened. I left voicemail with my name and number, and tried calling about 15 times more, no one ever answered.

Love this food truck. They have a good selection of Mexican foods, spicy or no spice. Food is a little overpriced, but worth it as it’s made/cooked fresh and hot. I recommend trying one of everything. The people that run this truck are friendly and fast. The only delta is they should have a choice between flour and corn tortillas…

I ordered from here and I got it delivered. I ordered beans, a burrito, rice and burrita tacos and churros. I was not given churros or burrita tacos I was instead given regular tacos that were not fried and only had meat in them. The beans were extremely bland aswell. I mainly don’t totally rely on delivery to get my order perfectly but this is the worst experience I have ever had.
