Reviews
When we arrived, the bar area was full and we took our seats at an elevated side table where we had a view of the entire room. This place is cozy.
Jerseys and memorabilia from local colleges and high schools line the walls.
We began our meal with fried green tomatoes and I had a margarita while my husband had sweet tea. We ordered the baked chicken and smothered pork chops with yams, macaroni and cheese and green beans served with cornbread pancakes and rice.
Every bite was delicious. Our server was lovely, helpful and fun. I’ll definitely be back.
and DJ-BO, what a TEAM! The cooks, although I didn’t get their names, my food was perfect, the pork chop, collard greens (bam)! I saw reviews about the french fry because they are cut and frozen. But the cooks knew how to season them perfectly. I don’t know if it was the southern charm, or the southern hospitality of the staff, the DJ and the patrons, but we could not have picked a better place to celebrate this monumental quest. I’m so glad we made new friends.
I WOULD RECOMMEND
Hot bar was closed down by 4pm on Sunday.
A friend said the chicken and waffles were just okay, the fried chicken was good but wished the sauce was more evenly distributed, and greens were not flavorful.
Bathrooms were clean and staff friendly.
