Zaxby’s in Meridian, MS, has truly disappointed me. I’ve been a fan of Zaxby’s for years, but this location is an embarrassment to the franchise.
First, the customer service was shockingly poor. The staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful, which set a negative tone right from the start. When I ordered my 4 tender meal, I was astounded to be told that sauces, which are usually included at every other Zaxby’s, would cost me an extra $0.65. This is completely unacceptable!
To make matters worse, I received no napkins or utensils with my meal. It’s baffling that a restaurant wouldn’t provide these basic necessities. I had to specifically ask for ketchup only to receive a measly two packs.
Overall, this store is a disgrace to the Zaxby’s franchise. I won’t be returning and I urge others to think twice before visiting this location. It’s a shame to see such a beloved brand represented so poorly.

I got the cob salad with their garlic buffalo sauce. Grilled chicken. He got the Chipotle Ranch Tacos. Everything fresh. Seasoned great. Costumer service was great. Very friendly. Might be my favorite go to for chicken tenders/salads!

Tried this location for the 2nd time a couple of days ago and was instantly reminded why I was not impressed the first time I visited. The staff is not friendly at all, you can hear the irritation in their voices even at the drive through. The young lady that gave me change tried to short me a dollar, when I pointed out that she owed me a dollar, she argued with me that she gave me correct change, did something on the register, asked to see the change she DID give back and then begrudgingly gave me the rest of my change. Scam or mistake? The attitude definitely screams scam., especially when the register tells you exactly how much change to return to a customer. The food was decent, although at 11 AM the toast should not be ice cold and the drinks should not be watered down. The customer service, the food and the entire atmosphere at the Philadelphia location are FAR superior to the Meridian location. I have no clue how much business the Meridian location does, but there’s a reason there’s never more than a couple of cars in the drive thru at Zaxby’s and Chick-fil-A ALWAYS has two lanes of cars in their drive thru. In the overall scheme of things, Zaxby’s doesn’t care & won’t miss my business, but I definitely don’t have to spend my time or money at a place that acts like they’re doing me a favor to take my order & hand me a bag through a window.
So Zaxby’s responds with the generic bot response….basically tell us how we can “earn more stars”.
I told you EXACTLY what the problem was, as have dozens of others. CLEARLY Zaxby’s DOES NOT listen otherwise they would apologize for whatever the complaint is and vow to correct the problems.

Food was excellent..but the lady that helped me, not so much…came in around 4pm on 11/30/25, no greeting, no smile..just downright rude! She behaved as if I was bothering her asking for ketchup! I shouldn’t have to deal with her attitude when I’m spending my money! Do better, young lady! Oh, and they forgot the ranch that I paid for so I had to go back in for that, plus another serving of funky attitude

We had the fried shrimp and it was okay. Young lady behind the counter recommended the wings and tenderloins. I really liked the tenderloin, crispy on outside and tender on the inside. Wings were alright. Fries were hot and crispy, and my toast was buttery and toasted. They even checked on us. I didn’t care for the funnel cake. It was a but hard. Restaurant was clean and the girls were sweet and polite with us.

My wife and I stopped here in the middle of a long road trip. The first thing I saw after we parked to eat inside were two employees in the drive-thru flinging to-go containers at each other. Should have been our sign for what’s to come.
We order, and after 15 minutes, we begin to wonder what happened to our two salads (we were dining in). During that time, we saw three or four employees on their phones, others walking around the store aimlessly for no reason, and lots of yelling and horseplay (whipping towels at each other in sight of customers, etc.) coming from the kitchen.
After waiting well longer than the amount of time it should take to get a salad from Zaxby’s (10 minutes, 15 at most), my wife went up to the counter, asked where our food is, and had to ask for our food to-go because their service wasted so much time after clearly forgetting our order. From the time we ordered to the time we got our food, it was just short of HALF AN HOUR. For FAST food!!
After my wife called them out for not providing us our salads in a timely and professional manner, their response: a checked-out “Sorry ma’am.” It seems there is no adult leadership or accountability at this location, and the employees would rather have social hour than perform the job they’re being paid to do.
We’ve been to a lot of Zaxby’s over the years; it’s one of our favorites, but this one has by far the worst service we’ve ever experienced. I really hope their behavior improves for the sake of their future customers.

Our food was very good! We got two Cobb salads with grilled chicken, kids grilled cheese meal, 3 tacos with chipotle ranch which were very, very good, 2 teas. Matthew taking the order was very helpful and polite. The restroom was spacious and did have soap and paper towels.

Ordered a 5 finger meal with slaw and after driving off, we realized they didn’t give me fork and only 1 sauce for the 5 piece. We had to drive back and park. My wife went in and they very rude and wanted to charge her for the 2nd sauce pack. She had to get loud with them to get the sauce and fork. UNACCEPTABLE! You need to take lessons from Chick-fil-A!
