A quiet and reserved bar that feels like a real speakeasy. The selection of mixed drinks is more than I’ve seen at most places. They can make you almost any drink you can think of. The service is very inviting and fun. Bartender, Ben, was a great host and had som great jokes. Take a date or a friend here to feel they’re in some new secret club, or just to show them what a “banana foster” is.

Excellent medicinal beverages may be acquired here. Bartenders are top shelf, funny and give great banter with their book readers.
Ben is the man! Liquid chemist that knows his stuff and makes a mean beverage. I just got a bottle of china-china to keep the research going. Thanks for the BDB ‘Hattan recipe; I’d stashed it in my pocket and didn’t read what was written until I was leaving town. Had a good laugh once I did!
Until next time, be eazy, there are ears in the corn patch…cheers!

The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with books lining the shelves and intimate lighting that creates a perfect atmosphere for relaxing evenings. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, often happy to recommend books or drink pairings to enhance your experience.

My wife and I had a couple of very enjoyable cocktails here. Terrific atmosphere and a friendly, helpful bartender made it a great experience. The drinks were delicious. I had a Bananas Foster and “Celine Dijon,” which were both just as fun as I’d hoped. Great place to stop during a date night.

Stumbled across this wonderful spot when I thought I was walking into a used book store on Easter Sunday. The bartender/owner was gracious and knowledgeable, the bourbon based drinks were amazing. I had a lovely time.

My favorite book club, the place that showed me that not all cocktails are created equal. The place that got me hooked on old fashions. But don’t settle for any old fashioned, Try the vanilla saffron old fashioned and you’ll be amazed. I travel all over the west coast and have tried many cocktail bars. ever since I tried this place a year ago I’ve been chasing the dragon and nothing else compares. Ben keeps it real and happily guides you through his menu and will even make suggestions based on your preference. Everything he suggests is amazing, the prices are great, and the selection is fantastic. Whenever I’m in Spokane I make it a point to stop at my favorite book club.

My husband and I each enjoyed 2 cocktails here (4 total between the two of us). The cocktails were some of the best we’ve had! Highly recommend this cool speakeasy. Our bartender, Zac, was awesome and is skilled at crafting perfect cocktails. Highly recommend this place for some pre-show drinks if you’re seeing a play at First Insterstate Center for the Arts!

Easy 5 stars. The Celine Dijon was one of the tastiest and most interesting drinks I’ve had in a while, and the bananas foster was incredible and is how I will be making my old fashioneds henceforth. Would’ve loved to try every drink on that old fashioned menu as well as the seasonal menu.
Drinks were also ICE cold without being over diluted, which is a difficult feat and speaks to the bartender’s skills.

Service was very friendly and gave us great pointers for while we were in town. Be sure to ask the history of the name. Cool atmosphere inside with booths and bar seating.

This would for sure be my go-to spot if we lived nearby, highly recommend! Prices are great too which only adds to the wonderful experience 🙂
