This is pretty much the only restaurant in the area, but honestly, it turned out to be a really pleasant surprise. The restaurant itself was clean and welcoming, and the employees were friendly and polite. The food took a little while to come out, but it was right at lunch hour and pretty crowded, so that was understandable. I ordered the Italian sub sandwich with a side of tots, and both were fantastic. The sandwich was one of the best I’ve had in a long time the meat tasted fresh, the cheese melted everything together beautifully, and the bread had that perfect crispy texture without being too hard. The tots were golden and perfectly seasoned too. If I lived in the area, I would definitely be here all the time. It’s a great little spot that really exceeded my expectations.

Excellent food with a little wait in a much better than expected sit down environment at a gas station. Loved talking to the friendly people and really enjoyed the food before a long bike trip. Sorry no pics but I had a breakfast pannini and fish sandwich for lunch which probably took the majority of my wait time.

Everyone is great. Love Pam and Zach. Everyone is local and cares about the town. The food is great. I too like the BLT’s. The French toast and pancakes are amazing. If you can buy the local syrup on the counter to exceed your expectations!

Mitch’s is an authentic classic local eatery.
Many of the items on the menu are creations of by the owner and prepared on the spot. The service is basic, you order at the counter and the gracious staff brings the food to your table. If you want, make it to go and enjoy the food just across the street in the rustic Confluence Town Square with a lovely Victorian bandstand.
A cold cut & cheese cooler has the makings for sandwiches to take out and enjoy while riding the Great Allegheny Passage Trail which is a short and easy ride via residential streets away.
There is a convenience store section at one end of the restaurant.

Cute diner with comfy tables and AC. Good food. Delicious BLT with egg. My teenager rated it best on the GAP. This place is a nice little restaurant. Better than the name makes it sound. They have take-away sandwiches too. Recommend.
