Like pulling teeth to order. Poor customer service.
More importantly In 2026 it is irresponsible and unacceptable for a restaurant to only use single use containers and silverware. Good grief. The sauce, the sides, the silverware all plastic or disposable.
Not to mention my brisket was half fat and none of the meat was more than lukewarm. 80 bucks wasted and 20 plastic and paper items in the trash. Do better. Respect the planet. Lookl at all the paper and plastic in photos.

Some of the best bbq in the 209. I would recommend this place. Great food , great music and awesome customer service. The owner is very friendly and greets his guests. The smash burgers are some of the best burgers I’ve had. They only serve on Fridays til sell out. Trust me these burgers sell out fast. They’re made with brisket.

Went this past Saturday second time here , the first time everything was good we had 3 meat plate and a Dino rib bone. This recent visit we had the cali platter and honestly the only thing good was Mac and cheese sausage and brisket , the tritip and ribs were super dry like if they were leftover reheated . Pulled pork had no flavor and was dry . I don’t think I would be back not worth the $100 we paid for the food and drinks 🙁

The food here is the best BBQ I have found in CA and is on the level of good, Southern BBQ. We got a 2 and 3 meat plate. The flavor is amazing and the portions are generous. Plenty of parking behind the building. If you are reading this and thinking about grabbing a bite here you don’t need to read any further, go eat!

Everything they serve is top quality from the Smoked Meats to the Side Dishes. Vic has concentrated on quality and quantity which is extremely rare these days. His staff is friendly, helpful and top notch over all. They care about how they represent their Brand.
Vic is a humble guy who loves what he does and he doesn’t skimp on quality, you’ll get a high quality grade of meat and the sides are equally as good as the main menu items they serve, which is also rare these days.
I almost forgot, what’s BBQ without an excellent sauce? Well it’s unfinished business in my opinion. Vic’s BBQ sauce compliments his BBQ very well, it’s a fantastic match up.
You get what you pay for and then some.
I’ve tried many on the Smoked Meat BBQ places sourounding Stanislaus County and beyond. Vic’s is a treasure to our area, seriously!

I had to edit from my last review. This place will not give you what you want. They think they are so good that you have to buy what they want you to have. They have a 3 meat plate, if you want 2 brisket and a sausage well too bad. You can’t have it. Avoid this place like the plague, I have never been so upset driving that far just to be told I can’t order what I want. Customer service is trash now. Again you cannot order what you want. I’m still in shock. Pictures are from earlier post, food looks good, and yes you used to get what you wanted, but not anymore, even if you want to pay extra. Maybe after enough loyal customers quit coming and they lose enough they will change their minds and get back to treating customers right.

The bread was cold on the sandwich n the slides. The cut of the tri tip was so thick it was chewie.. the only thing that was good was the corn bread n the BBQ sauce.
