I don’t need a chain restaurants, in fifty seven, diner is definitely not a chain.
But it is a step back into nostalgia, Perch will make you feel warm and welcome even if you come in when they’re closed

Stopped here on a recent road trip. Great small town diner. Loved everything about it, the food, the service and the atmosphere. Ordered hamburgers and fries and they were really good, just like homemade. Cooked just right and the cheese melted perfectly, plus all the trimmings, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, etc. And you got enough fries to feed a family, so just order one batch. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back and eat here again.

This was my 1st time here. The kiddos and I came to have lunch with hubby. The food was cooked to order. This place is a time machine. It takes you back. 10/10 I do RECOMMEND. If you’re ever passing through, make a stop here at The 57 Diner. The customer service is amazing as well.

I’d like to start out by saying I couldn’t find anywhere else in Unadilla to eat breakfast. I was the only person in the restaurant. it should have been the warning signs. I’ve read the other reviews it must be for dinner or lunch. When I walked in a lady behind the counter speaking abruptly, she said, “You eating in, just take a seat.” A few minutes later, she brought me the menu on a piece of paper. All they have is scrambled eggs, so they do not cook eggs any other way for you. I ordered the three eggs with bacon, and everything in me wanted to get up and run, but I always gave a place a chance. The eggs were lukewarm, very dry, and definitely had been cooked ahead of time. The bacon appeared to have been baked in an oven, and it was definitely a lot of time. Again, it was lukewarm, very crispy, a little overcooked. The building and decor is a very unique place very down to earth with great decor and antiques, my favorite the full-size Elvis with the guitar. When you look to the other side, there is a complete old soda shop from the 50s. I guess they don’t use it anymore, but it was again a very unique place. A young lady was wiping tables off maybe she was new, I don’t know, but I asked if I could get some more tea and she looked at me like she had seen a ghost turned to the elderly man through the kitchen window and he motion for her to get the tea so she took my glass without saying a word disappeared came back with my tea handed it to me again without saying a word and walked away. I would have to say the elderly man in the kitchen window waved smiled and was very friendly. There was a younger man sitting behind the counter I guess because it was time for him to eat breakfast he felt no need to address me as I walked around looking at the decor but again it made it for a very unfriendly place. Definitely won’t be eating breakfast there again it’s on the back side of a track with unfriendly people. It reminds me of an Alfred Hitchcock film where people disappear.

Always great place to get lunch. They have the best burgers and fries. Staff is always great and the tea is sweet and ice cold. Oh and don’t forget the ribs for Saturdays on the food truck. Truly don’t want to miss them.

I don’t know how fast food chains survive when there are amazing locally owned diners all over the country just like this one! The 57 diner is charming in atmosphere and the food is great. I had a cheeseburger all the way. It was cooked to order, piping hot and juicy and the veggies were fresh, crispy and perfect. If I could change anything it would be that the beef had been seasoned a little bit more but it was still a good burger. I also had some chili cheese fries which weren’t even on the menu but they made them for me anyway. The place has a cool vibe about it, it is decorated to look like the 1950s. They also had 1950s cartoons playing which was neat to watch while I waited for my meal. The staff was very friendly. I had a great lunch here and I’ll definitely be back! If you are coming down I-75 and looking for a place for lunch, this is a great stop!

This restaurant is by far, and I mean by far, the best part about living in Unadilla. It is the most authentic Georgia style restaurant I’ve ever been to. The food is off the map. Everything is made from scratch, using “grandma’s recipe” style cooking. The restaurant is a vibe of its own. Blue collar dining, with top notch service and value. Highly recommend the lunch special, whatever it might be. Fried pork chop is elite. Cubed steak or Cornish hen are right there with it. Sides are incredible, doesn’t matter which one you pick. Huge styrofoam cup is the default for your drink. Free desert with lunch special!

This was my first visit to the 57 Diner, but it won’t be my last one! I had the Double burger and fries and it was absolutely delicious. The service was wonderful and the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend it to everyone!

Didn’t know what to expect as we went to dinner tonight. We were passing through the area, camping down the road and the Diner was recommended. We were the only ones there! 3 kids 2 adults and no one else. Our dinners were delicious and large servings were provided. One our kids are finicky eaters and nothing on the menu would suffice so when we asked if they could do a grilled cheese sandwich they did! He loved it. They went above and beyond for us. The decor of the restaurant was cool. I saw a pair of rollerskates and a pair of Oxford shoes! Memories for us hanging on the wall.
It is a must if you are traveling through Unadilla! Staff were pleasant and inviting, food delicious and priced reasonably.
Thank you for a wonderful experience!
