Can’t wait to also visit when it’s warmer to enjoy the beautiful outdoor setup. My go to place for Indian food in the neighborhood. 10 stars all the way !!
Will definitely be back for dinner!
The decor is sooo vibey and homey. Also a good spot to find snacks / house warming gifts (upscale Indian snacks)
A stunning new gem in Carroll Gardens! Tera Mera just opened a few days ago, and it’s already something truly special.
The restaurant was started by two amazing women, and you can feel the love, care, and cultural depth in every detail—from the antique Indian dishes to the vibrant wallpaper and gorgeous backyard patio (which is a lush little dreamworld perfect for summer nights).
The food is extraordinary. Every dish is made with clear intention and a deep understanding of Indian flavors. I had the spicy vegan cheese toast (a must-try!), the cauliflower salad (bright, bold, and perfectly balanced), and an incredible dark roast coffee that was smooth and strong. I’m vegan and was thrilled to find so many vegan options! The menu is thoughtful and unique—not your standard Indian fare—and everything is presented like a work of art.
The space is intimate but not cramped, with a cozy, inviting vibe. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they’re creating here.
Highly recommend getting in now before it blows up—this is the kind of spot that’s going to be packed once the secret’s out. A soulful, flavor-filled experience from start to finish.
I enjoyed the Raw veggies salad and Pork Vindaloo Sandwitch.
When I first sat down, I felt overlooked as a solo diner and was on my way storming out but before I walked out, I spoke with the owner. She couldn’t have been kinder. She apologized sincerely, made sure I felt welcome, and insisted dinner would be on the house. That small gesture, paired with her warmth, completely turned things around.
The food itself was incredible.. so flavorful, fresh, and exactly what I’d been craving. But more than that, the hospitality reminded me of true Indian warmth and care. The owner didn’t have to go out of her way for one customer on a busy Friday night, but she did, and it left a lasting impression.
I walked away not only full and happy but also feeling like I’d found a place I want to return to again and again.
Highly recommend for anyone who loves authentic Indian food and values genuine hospitality.
This is the exact sort of casual Indian cafe that I am so excited is in the neighborhood in the midst of NYC’s Indian food renaissance! Lots of fun groceries in the shop also.
The menu is incredibly curated and you cannot go wrong with anything that you get. I highly recommend the Methi Mushroom Masala.
If you are in the neighborhood, this is an absolute must.
