While on the road, we stopped at a hotel. Across the street was mama‘s pizza express.
We called them and ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza.
I was a little worried because they were gonna be open for another 25 minutes.
They were happy to make us a 16 inch pizza.
The pizza was awesome with good quality cheese! The amount of ingredients was just right.
I prefer a little more sauce on my pizza, but it was good.
The staff was super friendly and quite talkative, even though they were trying to prepare for closing.
I was impressed and surprised to see that they have some craft beers on tap.

The food at Mama’s Pizza Express was absolutely delicious and came out impressively fast. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The restaurant itself was very tidy, clean, and comfortable, which I always appreciate. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience from start to finish. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in the Statesville area, and I highly recommend giving this place a try!

This place is delicious!!! We called to do delivery, we thought we may be out of the range but surprisingly we weren’t. The lady that answered the phone was very helpful and made ordering easy! We will definitely be getting food from them. We are about 15-20 minutes from their location and the pizza was still hot when we got it and could smell it while talking to the delivery driver! We always get pizza on Halloween and will be placing an order from here this year! Even our three year old loves it!! We got 2 garlic knot pizzas and one of their Quattro Gusti pizzas. I believe we have found our new pizza place. Who ever made these pizzas deserves a raise.

The best pizza in Statesville hands down, and I wouldn’t be too far off to say the best pizza in Iredell county. Easily top 5 in all of Charlotte metro; and in my top 10 for pizza I’ve had all around the world. 10/10 do reccomend. Issa threw this beauty together for me. Chicken Bellisimo on a grandma crust. Chefs kiss.

This place is clean and the service was great. They offer wine and beer for inside dining only. I was surprised how fair the prices were. Not gouging.
We ordered well-done garlic parm wings that were cooked perfectly. (There is an up charge of $2.50 for all flats). They were DELICIOUS!
If we’re ever back through this town again, we’ll stop by and try the pizza. The pics of the pizzas in the reviews look so yummy!

We love this place. EVERYTHING is delicious. Never a bit of FOMO when ordering, you know it’s gonna be .
Our most recent order is what generated the on this review. We called in a weekly special of sausage & ricotta pie & buffalo garlic wings & a Sicilian rice ball with cheese & sauce.
We received the rice ball (thank the for that!), but our pizza was cheese (not even extra) & our wings were an Italian steak sandwich of some type?)
But, what a glorious mistake! The cheese pizza was , & that sirloin steak hero was bussin’ yo?!?!
I just feel bad for the poor schnook that got our ‘seriously needs reconsidering)’ order ….. RIP bro.

Oh, Mama!! Where have you been all my life?! Pizza is out of this world. The sauce is literally but delicious. Their wings are even better. I suggest the Sweet Mama wings. They have a great menu and I just need to figure out how to try everything. The customer service is always friendly! You should go!! Now! Right now!

Great food, great management. Issac is fantastic and runs a great business. Our 1st trip, he greeted us at the door and welcomed us in. We had garlic knots (best ever), wings (very crispy) and the Philly Cheese Chicken. This was more than me and my wife could eat and was delicious. Can’t wait to go back to try the Calzones and pizza’s. Family run and they really appreciate your business.
