I was a little surprised at how good the experience was at Cancun. It’s a very festive place with a strong, colorful atmosphere. The service is outstanding.
This has to be one of the top restaurants in Oal Ridge. For as many times as I have been to Oal Ridge, this is the first time I have actually been impressed with a place.
The carnitas in Verde sauce are pretty darn tasty. The salsas rich in flavor. I will for sure visit on my next trip.

If you’re familiar with Oak Ridge at all, I went to Cancun for lunch on a Friday at 12:30 and there were only three other tables in use, however this didn’t bother me at all as the plant staff is usually off on Fridays. Was seated right away and had the standard chips and salsa on the table before I could even get comfortable. The salsa was some of the best I’ve had at a restaurant in quite some time, seems like there’s may have been a pinch of sugar added but just enough to cut the acid from the tomatoes. My server came around, and I ordered the lunch portion chicken chimichanga with grilled jalapeños inside. I try to order the same thing at the Mexican restaurants for my first time for comparison. I would say this is an average sized chicken chimichanga, but what really set it apart is that it seemed like instead of grilling the jalapeños and adding them into the chimichunga they grilled them, then added them to the chicken to finish cooking as the flavor from the jalapeño was throughout the entire chimichunga, and it was amazing. It, of course, came with the usual rice, lettuce, Pico de gallo, refried beans, a small amount of shredded cheese, guac, and a generous portion of queso blanco covering the chimichanga. All in all, Cancun Mexican Grill and Bar #3 is an excellent choice for a quick, excellently priced ($10.95 with water, before tip) lunch in the Oak Ridge area.

We ordered the fajitas for two, and there was so much food! The portions were very generous—we both had enough leftovers to take home. Everything was cooked to perfection. Service was quick, and we truly felt catered to throughout our meal.

This is defintiely one of the better spots in Oak Ridge to have good and well priced Mexican food.
We arrived during lunch time it was somewhat busy. We were immediately greeted and seated at a booth. The meal comes with complementary chips and salsa. The salsa is not spicy but has a good flavor.
Our waiter was very friendly and efficient. We ordered a soft taco with beef, taquitos and sopapillas. The main dishes were good and tasted fresh sn were seasoned well. The soapapilla was not what I expected since traditionally we have had them on softer fluffier bread with cinnamon sugar.
I asked the waiter about spicier salsas and sauces. He did bring out a green Chile Verde which was not spicy but tasted okay and also a red Barria sauce that had some spice and what seemed to be cabbage. I appreciated most our waiters patient demeanor and willingness to accommodate.
Overall I definitely would return for another meal at this Mexican resturant.
I do want to offer a few suggestions as well. The bathroom was clean and well stocked, but the hot temperature of the water at the sink was to the level that I felt it could burn someone like a small child. And, while we were dining my child was using a booster. Before we even received the check another employee asked if they could have the booster for another table. I found this to be rude and that my child should have access to the seat for the entirety of their meal.

The margarita’s are the best we’ve had! Excellent service provided, very attentive and playful our whole visit. The food was pretty good, definitely the best Mexican in Oak Ridge by a long shot.

Ordered the beef nachos. The waiter never once came to check on me or see if I needed a drink refill or anything after the initial ordered was placed.
Very quick and easy stop for a lunchtime meal. Food arrived quickly and was good.

Cancun’s is always excellent. I’m so glad this location has opened up! Great drink specials, solid menu, delicious food, and crispy chips. Margarita specials are always a great deal, and you can actually taste the booze!

I was going to go with a 4 star because they left the shell on the shrimp for the Camarones a La Diabla plate but they made up for it. They make their tortillas from scratch OMG and they know how to bring out the Mexican flavors I have been missing. Keep it up guys I have a feeling you’re going to do just fine.
