My husband and I drove to this restaurant on a whim. The manager greeted us as we walked in the door. We told him it was our first time there. He gave us a tour of this lovely restaurant. The beautiful wooden door with the iron work, the fabulous glass chandeliers and festive art throughout the building is an absolute visual delight. Our waiter was fast, efficient and kind. The food was hot, delicious, and the portions were huge. What I personally appreciated, was that the diners inside – were people of all walks of life. All celebrating good food, family, friends, life, in a festive setting. We can’t wait to go back!

I had the combo… soft shell beef taco and beef Burrito… with both Mexican rice and refried beans.
Included free warm, fresh chips and Salsa.

Several people told us how good this place was, so we had to check it out. Well….they were right. The food, the service and the ambience was all great.
I had the chimichanga dinner and my wife ordered the Carne Asda. We both enjoyed our plates. Everything was piping hot. David, our server, made sure that our needs were being met.
Bathrooms very clean.
There is a small surcharge for using a credit card versus cash.
In short, a very enjoyable afternoon of fine dining.

First time visit here. Dinner time. Was seated immediately but that’s as good as it got. The waiters here had to be asked multiple times (like 8) for simple things that were ordered. By the time the meal was almost completely eaten, the items finally showed up after repeatedly asking. The food was okay. The taco plate was perhaps a bit too hot as even slightly grazing the plate to grab a taco burnt my arm..The taco plate was 206 degrees and the pork nachos plate was 156 degrees when it was delivered.

I had a good experience at the Mesquite Mexican Grill & Bar. I was treated to a friendly greeting upon entering along with fast and efficient service. The food was served hot and tasted good. I had the carnitas dinner with charro beans. The carnitas were cooked with grilled onions and were seasoned well. My husband went with a combination of taco, enchilada, and tamal. The prices are average. Excellent cocktails, too!

I ordered bbq pork nachos and he had steak tacos. I ordered jalapeños for my nachos and didn’t get them. Asked for them 3 times still no jalapeños. Partner asked and waiter finally brought them when I was about 75% finished with my nachos. They still charged me almost $2 for my jalapeños even with me only eating about 3 jalepenos since my food was almost gone. I didn’t realize the charge until I had already paid. For the long wait I would have expected to not be charged especially since I did not get to enjoy them with my entire meal as I ordered.
Also partner ordered charro beans and he got refried instead. Waiter noticed but partner said it was fine, he would eat the refried. Waiter still brought out the charro beans…while once again forgetting my jalapeños. This was when my partner asked waiter for my jalapeños and I finally got them.
It is very conveniently located on the square in Monticello and they have a lot of tvs; Braves games were playing in there today.

This place (to me) is the ultimate Mexican Food Eatery around. It is full of life, they pack them in and they know how to take care of you right! It is in the downtown square, so parking is a creative act – but worth it. The place is huge with a second floor with every sport playing somewhere. Fun place, great staff and great food.

Was in the area around lunch time and stopped at the square to take pictures. Decided to eat and seen the restaurant across the street. Thet welcomed you as you enter. The service was good and the food is tasty. I had the Chori pollo and my wife had the Pollo Pablano’s. Both were really good. Would recommend stopping if in the area. Worth the trip to try also.

This was my first time trying this restaurant. I tried the quesabirria tacos and they were very good. My husband had the tilapia and shrimp it was also very good. We will definitely be back to try more menu items.
