Had a wonderful dinner at the Smyth Tavern last night! The service was top notch and everyone was super friendly. Brandon is the absolute best server! He gave us a true 5 star experience!

The food was awesome. The ingredients in my Niçoise salad were so fresh. The serving of tuna was huge and the tuna was cooked to perfection. The eggs were also so flavorful, I don’t know how they did it. My boyfriend devoured his steak.

Also want to point out that the booth seats were some of the most comfortable booth seats we ever sat in at a restaurant.

Can’t wait to go back to The Smyth Tavern!

Are AMEX card gave us a discount for this place! The food was absolutely amazing! We even got dessert and that was delicious too. We had a nice booth in the corner which my husband appreciated because it was a little bit quieter.

Made reservations and showed up about 30 minutes early but still got seated immediately, waiters were very attentive and checked on us multiple times. My girlfriend and I went for our birthday and both got complimentary desserts! Definitely will eat here again when we come back

My coworker and I recently dined at Smyth Tavern, and we were truly blown away by the quality of the food, service, and the cozy atmosphere.
We started with few appetizers, including the oysters, spinach & artichoke dip, spicy tuna, and tempura shrimp. Each dish was incredibly flavorful, offering a unique quality and taste we haven’t found elsewhere.
For our main courses, we chose the red snapper and the braised lamb shank; both were seasoned to perfection and absolutely delicious.
The entire staff, including the managers, was warm and welcoming throughout the evening. We highly recommend Smyth Tavern for any occasion and want to thank them for making our dinner so special!

Thanksgiving dinner was really good. The cheesecake was one of the best I have ever had. The Basil Hayden old fashioned was smooth and yummy.

Excellent wait staff and head waiter. Food was exceptional in taste and correct temperature .

Only comment is waiter should know a martini is made with gin, not vodka.

Smyth Tavern located next door to the Smyth Hotel. It’s a nice upscale vibe but non pretentious. They have a really good happy hour with $7 beers and $12 cocktails. Their snacks are really good too. We sat at the bar and it was a nice experience. Would recommend for a quick bite and drink.

The Smyth has a very nice atmosphere with classy décor. I recently spoke with management about organizing a a private event, and they were extremely helpful and supportive. They were also willing to explore different options to accommodate our needs, which I really appreciated. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended!

This place far exceded my expectations. As a single disabled person they understood my needs. No steps to climb and besides a bathroom on the lower level there’s one on the restaurant level.
The place has a modern bohemian vibe. Tons of beautiful art work adorn the place. Plenty of Sepia and Black and White Photographs honoring NYC’s many Water Tanks.
The Tavern is attached to and part of the Smyth Hotel which, in my opinion is very swank!
They had a special Thanksgiving Day Menu, I went traditional.
It’s moderately priced.
Very easy to get there! Take the number 2 train to Chambers Street exit at the SE Corner and you’re right at the front door, how convenient is that?
The Trade Tower is a short walking distance away.
I had a window seat that overlooked a Hopper Like Building.
I may go back for Christmas!

Smyth Tavern serves very good food that’s well-prepared and flavorful. Unfortunately, the service and atmosphere are just average and don’t match the quality of the cuisine. Worth visiting for the food, but don’t expect much else.
