Overall, a great meal. Food was lovely. Rather disappointed with only 2 scallops and 2 shrimp in the linguine. Seafood chowder was great. Steak in the steak sandwich was done to perfection. The baguette/bread under the steak was very crisp and hard to cut, even with the steak knife. But taste was great. And the short rib pasta was excellent. We thank the chef for using a tomato based sauce for someone who is lactose intolerant. Waitress was spot on. We had her move us soon after we got there as there were 4 very noisy gentlemen at the next table. New table was much better, but very close to a speaker and the music was louder than we would have liked, and the bass of the music was turned up far too much. There was just a constant bass beating all the time.

I stopped here for breakfast and had the delicious Cinnamon French Toast with a fried egg and earl grey tea. The food was amazing and service was excellent! Will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our date night! We went to see a documentary at IMAX and decided to walk over to the Merriott for a bite. We had not been back to Fire + Water since Dine Around Town a few years ago. We like the atmosphere and style of the resturant. It is quiet which allows
for good conversation. I had a delicious apple martini – a yummy boozy apple pie. My husband had the Mescal Negroni. So fun! Our entrees were delicious. Pork chops and wild sockeye salmon with the chefs choice of vegetables. And of course we had to share the flourless chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. If you’re looking for a quiet romantic dinner out in Victoria , this is a gem.

We were looking for a contemporary restaurant that served seafood dishes that matched our tastes. We chose Fire + Water because of the dishes offered. We were so happy about this choice as our food was so good and fulfilled our cravings for fresh seafood since we are from the Prairies. For our appetizer we ordered calamari which was on happy hour special. They were not oily and did not have too much breading. My boyfriend ordered the salmon and scallops which was delicious and cooked perfectly. I ordered the Fire and Water seafood salad and it had prawns, candied salmon and smoked salmon. It was a huge portion of salad with lots of protein. I will dream of that salad forever. Our server was super nice and the food came out quickly. Next time we are visiting Victoria, we would totally come again.

I absolutely love this restaurant and highly recommend it to everyone! The atmosphere, the food, and the staff are all amazing, definitely a 10/10. I’ve been to this restaurant twice, with my second visit being on Valentine’s Day. The waitress was an absolute sweetheart who made the night even more special. I had their lasagna from the Valentine’s menu, and it was the best lasagna I’ve ever had in my entire life. Can’t wait to come back again!

We dined here for breakfast twice during our recent stay at the Marriott. The food was quite tasty and the service was even better! I can’t remember our waitress’ name but she was super friendly, funny and efficient. I would say it’s a little on the expensive side, especially for breakfast.

Hubby had the omelette both days and enjoyed it. I had the cinnamon French toast one day and the sandwich the other day. Both were good!

This is one of my favourite restaurants yet in Canada!

The design and atmosphere is wonderful, feels
so relaxed – the sort of place you could sit in for hours on end.

I tried breakfast twice here and dinner once. Both were incredible and delicious.

So many delicious options, greatly priced, fast delivery.

But mostly gotta shout out the incredible servers – our server Miki was very welcoming and gave us some incredible advice for our trip.

I would recommend their famous french toast (it’s incredible!)

Also the burger and bolognaise are to die for. So much flavour. Also try the 0.5 alcohol Juicy IPA, amazing.

I’ve been very fortunate to be able to try a wide variety of menu options and everything seems to be excellent quality.

The crab cakes eggs benny is a must try!
Very flavorful crab cakes topped with sliced avocado and a perfectly poached egg, tasty potatoes on the side and a creamy and zesty hollandaise sauce to pour over top.

Buffalo chicken wings were thickly breaded and really delicious.

The seafood chowder was filled with yummy bites.

The french toast was amazing! It had so much flavour on it’s own but then it was paired with fruits and a cinnamon whip on the side, you hardly have a need for any syrup.

The Reuben was juicy and not overly salty as others can be.

The calamari was a bit odd and the least flavorful thing I tried.

The steak was my absolute favourite dish, perfectly cooked with a delicious flavoured butter and nice crust on the outside and rich sauteed mushrooms.

The fish and chips were exactly what you’d expect and they do have good fries.

The cappuccino chocolate terrine dessert was nice and rich without being overly sweet, despite it missing the raspberry sauce as advertised. The chocolate was smooth and the almond bark on top was crunchy. I’m not actually sure where the cappuccino flavour is meant to be but I’m an espresso addict so I tend to not be able to taste coffee flavours unless they are overly pronounced.

M Club lounge was closed at Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour during our 2 nights stay. We were provided breakfast at Fire & Water Restaurant located within the hotel.

The staff recommended “Crab Cake Eggs Benedict.” We both went with her recommendation. Wow, she was on point! Rich, tasty and melt in your mouth. Hubby loved it so much he ordered it again the next morning. The next morning I ordered “All Canadian breakfast” as I love scrambled eggs and chose rye bread, bacon and substituted potatoes with fruit.

I have to say the staff is amazing – attentive, genuine and down-to-earth.

Great breakfast to fuel us for the day full with walking. We ended up needing to walk off the wonderful meal along the harbour. Not a bad start to a day, eh!
