Over the top food flavor. Had the oysters, crab cakes, fried green tomatoes, sea bass . If you’re looking for truly a quality meal with wonderful service it’s a must. Not cheep , but you get what you pay for. Will drive 2 hours to eat here again. Owner is friendly and atmosphere is wonderful.

We had a great experience coming from a suggestion to try The Schoolfield Restaurant by a friend, Wallace Saunders. The service was great, along with all of our meals. Between the four of us, we had the scallop dish, salmon, chicken breast, and filet medallions with a crab cake.

Hidden gem is an understatement. The atmosphere, music (40’s music) and food made us feel like we were in the Notebook. We loved this restaurant and our server Kyle, was so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I highly recommend the crab cakes, INCREDIBLE! My husband and I will be coming back.

The historical atmosphere and the phenomenal food will keep you coming back! Try the Pan Seared Salmon. Great location for events and the view of the Three Sisters is awesome in the evening glow.

The food and service was TOP TIER! John was our waiter and he was very attentive and pleasant. The manager came out and asked how was everything and made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

And we’d delivery a six star rating as this place goes above and beyond any other place in Danville! The food is always the best, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is very cozy. Calamari and ribeye were perfectly cooked and seasoned on our most recent visit. It’s just an experience that one cannot find anywhere in Danville.

THE OWNER OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT SHOULD NOT BE RUNNING A RESTAURANT. We had to change our reservation a few times due to circumstances beyond our control. The owner gave us a time that the restaurant could accommodate us. However he was wrong. It took over 1 hour to get our food. When we complained the owner came out and berated US for his mistake, in a voice loud enough for the whole restaurant to hear him. (The mistake made by the owner was telling us he could accommodate us when in reality the restaurant was overbooked). We would have understood if he had told us the restaurant was overbooked and he would not take us that evening- but the fact he said he could accommodate us lead us to believe that all was fine. We did not ask for any discounts or anything else- we only complained about the time it took to be served our food. Long story short- THINK LONG AND HARD BEFORE COMING TO THIS RESTAURANT -even though the food is good, THE OWNER IS NOT A NICE PERSON, and because of the way he treated us we will NEVER go back.

They were amazing!! Stayed opened late for 3 ladies traveling that needed to eat!! The food was AMAZING!!! THANKS TO THE CHEF AND WAITRESS!!! The owner has great stories and kept us girls laughing!!!!
