Tropical Hut has be a long-awaited travel spot that was absolutely worth the two-year wait.

Food: The chicken adobo was fantastic with an amazing, rich sauce, and the unique pork dish (not sure what it was called) was surprisingly delicious. The pancit and pandesal were both solid staples that rounded out the meal perfectly.

Service: The super kind titas made the whole experience feel like being fed by your grandma: warm, generous, and full of heart. They served great portions and made me feel right at home.

Aesthetic: Simple cafeteria-style setup with seating on the opposite side, giving it that authentic, home-cooked comfort vibe.

This place has been on my list to try for far too long and wow have I been missing out. First off the staff is so friendly and nice, they want to make sure you get the best dish to your liking. I told them it was my first time and they let me try several of their top items and every single one was delicious which made the decision very difficult!

The food is cooked well, tons of flavor, and the price is very reasonable. HIGHLY recommend!!

I wanted to celebrate my birthday at work and it went so well. Thanks to Tropical Hut. I am happy that they accomodated my order at a short notice. They packed the food so well, I did not have to worry about spilling. The food were delicious. And all my coworkers from different countries loved all the food. Great to know that there is a Filipino restaurant near my job.

This was my second time trying the local chain and the workers at this location are unbelievably kind and helpful. The food was just as amazing the second time as it was the first time and it’s become my local favorite. The pancit and the adobo chicken are a must-try for anyone new to the restaurant and i’m addicted to the pandan sticky rice in their refrigerated section.

One of the more popular locations and one of the closest one to me. They have amazing food and amazing service. They even have a little store inside to buy the Filipino goods. They have plenty of options to choose from!

we usually order for catering here and so far so good. (well maybe except for that one time I ordered pancit and it was sooo salty! isolated event though and never happened again)

anway, our go-to here for party trays is their lumpia (of course, nice and crispy and good taste), sweet and sour fish, their BBQ, liempo and their buko pandan!! yum!

Also recently tried their halo2 and its good. I do prefer mine with ube ice cream though. cant beat that.

So convenient that their have a mini grocery and a few frozen items for sale too.

The place is clean and staff is very friendly. The food is presented well. I should have asked to sample the food before ordering. I ordered, lechon kawali and 2 combo meals with pancit. beef caldereta, chicken teriyaki, sisig, and chayote. Also ordered turon. The pancit is too soft, strong peppery taste and overcooked. The pancit spoiled the taste of the other dishes. I had to get back in line to order white rice hoping the pancit was the problem. With the white rice it did not matter. The lechon kawali is dry and overcooked. All the other dishes are not good at all. Fortunately the turons were perfectly cooked; crisp, moist, not oily and not too sweet. For this visit the and the food selected I am giving this place 2-3 stars.

The food there was really delicious. Ordered spicy cooked pork, cooked chicken and Pancit. Gotta say, was hot and really good. The mix of flavors really did melt on my mouth, especially the spicy pork which was soft, not that chewy which I like, and just absolutely had a complete full of flavoring to it. I would say, they give a lot of food, I wasn’t able to finish it. I would say, I wouldn’t have enough for leftovers but had a good amount still to support me as a snack.

Service was great! Staff were attentive and sweet, fast paced working and more. Order in and order out. Atmosphere of the place was great. I’m the person who likes a place that is clean, but just very simple and open, booth seating and some paintings actually made me feel very comfortable and cozy will eating. Plus a little supermarket in the back which was a great edition as the place isn’t always only for food. They sold all sorts of goods that you could buy to make your own dishes.

Absolutely loved this place, this was is bigger than the Tropical Hut one I’ve been too back in Maywood, NJ. More spacious here and would say, more options regarding food. I would recommend this place to people who are really hungry. Don’t go here for a snack, not the best, come here after a long day and not eating as much. You’re guaranteed to be served perfectly. I’ll be coming back, hungry for more.

I’m glad I finally stopped in here. I will say that the portions are enormous and the prices are very budget friendly so you get a lot of bang for your comfort food buck here. My dad is Filiipino so I developed a taste for this country’s incredible cuisine at an early age. Some dishes I won’t eat simply because of the ingredients but most Filipino dishes are fair game for me. I got a combo meal for under $9 (includes a drink!) and they are so generous with the sides that they put them in separate containers as opposed to squeezing them into the compartments of the the takeout styrofoam containers! I had lunch for two days for the price of one! I ordered pancit (noodles), a veggie side made with squash and long beans in coconut milk which I believe is called Ginataang Kalabasa, and pork belly. The pork was very flavorful and a real treat! I would love it if the dishes here were labeled so that it would be easier to make selections. The set up is no-nonsense cafeteria style and as I mentioned, they are very generous with portions. Filipinos are never stingy with portions! I remember growing up going to family parties where the supply of food was limitless. Having had the opportunity to travel abroad to the Philippines years ago, I was met with the same hospitality! I’d like to go back to Tropical Hut and try more dishes. The Philippines is a country comprised of a vast number of islands and regions, and the food is a distinct reflection of this variety. The food is also a unique product of the country’s significant Chinese and Spanish histories. There is also a Malay-Indonesian history, among other ethno-linguistic groups. Latin and Asian fusion is ever present in Filipino food. This restaurant caters also! Maybe that’s where all the lumpia (Filipino version of egg roll) went because they didn’t have any! Darn! Well, until next time!

Good filipino food in Parsippany area. Traditional food and always alot of Filipinos there, that’s how you know it’s legit. Combo is also the best deal, rice/pancit with two entrees and a drink, best deal in town.
