This is the spot! We’ve driven past a million times and always see them grilling out front. We finally came in and will absolutely be back. Family run and everything is home made. You order at the counter when you walk in and grab a table. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Sodas and beers. Not too many vegetarian options, maybe only the quesadilla. But everyone else gave their tacos 10/10. They brought pinwheels and hot sauce to the table for free. The hot sauces were amazing, they have a salsa bar with grilled peppers and onions, salsas, cucumbers, radishes, limes. Had a great time with great people sharing some great food. This establishments food was so good! With all the taco stands and Mexican restaurants in town this restaurant stood out to me for their flavors. My family and I ordered around 4 different items from the menu and each item had its own unique flavor. The waitress was accommodating , the cooks were friendly when asked a question I had. I recommend this hidden jewel to everyone

Some of the bombest tacos I have tasted in Bakersfield. Haven’t been here in about a yeae or so but when I did, I love every taco I ate. They used to be located inside the Amigis swapmeet. Not sure if they still do but they use to sell this salsa that was HOT and DELICIOUS. It is hard to make this combo for a salsa but somehow they made it happen. Owner even made some speciao KETO(cheese tortilla) tacos for my wife and I.

The El Asadero taco grill was a very welcoming and comfortable place to eat. The employees there were very friendly and very patient with us being that this was our first time there. He explained everything in full detail of each foods that we asked him about. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves Mexican food!

I went today and had horrible service. I walked in and was the only black person and it’s not a bother to me as this has became my new norm since leaving the Bay Area however that shouldn’t affect services. I placed an order of 5 tacos and rice and beans I was old 15 min wait. After waiting 35 mins and seeing several people who placed orders after me receiving food I went up to the counter only to be told my order was never sent to the kitchen even tho I paid. No efforts to help the situation or compensate me were made only a half felt sorry. I felt every over looked even when I told her my name she looked at me crazy/shocked because I’m dark and have a Latina name. Overall terrible first experience will not be returning and it’s extremely disappointing because I was so excited to try the food

I went in here bcus of the good reviews and stars … NEVER EVER goinf by the reviews.. i did not like the food at all ..the consome is green instead of redish.. and put alot of fat in the $4.50 quesa birria tacos.. not to mention very little of cheese and birria.. Ridiculous.!!! NEVER EVER GOING BACK HERE!!!!!!
