Absolutely fabulous, relaxing, nicely decorated place. Excellent tea selection, delicious chocolate croissant, freshly baked yummy cheesy crustless quiche with green salad. The prices are very reasonable. The owners (Swiss and German) are a delight, as are the staff. High-ceilinged and bright place, but cosy. Clean bathroom, and even complimentary tampons in the drawer for ladies in an awkward situation. I can’t wait to come back!!

Went to this place a couple of weeks ago and it was fantastic. I got a latte and boba tea for my girlfriend. It was the best boba tea I’ve ever had, and my girlfriend thought the same. That isn’t even the best part! This place is owned by two of my favorite college professors that I had. We had a great time catching up, and once I talked to them I knew my experience was going to be great. I had the best boba tea of my entire life and was not surprised at all because of the great owners.

Very cute tea shop with wonderful folks that work there! I came here for the high tea ceremony. The food and tea were really good, and the Gluten-free option was great. I loved how many options of the tea that there were and overall was a great experience and will happily be back again!

I think, overall, my review is that this place is pretty inconsistent.

The place is cute inside — small tables, charming tableware, small gift-shop area–and also has outdoor seating. It would be a cute place for an event.

My first visit was really, really positive. The food was great and felt “homemade” in the best way (seasonal, plentiful, flavorful) and service was, if not super attentive, still engaged. At around a 40 minute drive, that was enough to make me return for two follow-up visits.

On subsequent visits, the food quality was really poor (I’m serious, think like the worst cheap stale white bread version of a soggy, bland tea sandwich you can imagine) and the service was basically non-existent. It’s extra disappointing because it’s like a piece of good rye bread and a sprig of dill away from having like a perspective on afternoon tea, you know?!

The tea variety is EXCELLENT. The house loose bagged tea blends for sale is great. But once again, it’s that inconsistency. Sometimes a pot of tea appears at my table…and it’s not clear that the staff have really considered water temperature or brew time and they certainly don’t communicate anything about the tea. Kind of a missed opportunity, it feels like.

The tea choices are really, really diverse and there are some truly interesting sections of the tea menu to explore. It just doesn’t seem like they have a really clear, reinforced vision for quality or staffing happening.

They have been great with allergies/menu substitutions on each visit when needed.

Amazing food! Plenty of vegan options with a chic pea egg replacement. The panini I had was so filling, flavorful and easy to eat. Such a hidden gem is a great location. So many tea options it was almost overwhelming. Staff was really welcoming, helpful and happy to answer any questions. The atmosphere was unique and I had such a great time here!

Really wanted to love this place. Atmosphere is nice and the server was very kind. Unfortunately they don’t know how to make matcha. Mine was basically straight milk with like a pinch of matcha maybe less than that. Matcha is supposed to be a vibrant green or even dark green. thats how its meant to be served. Its supposed to be dark and even bitter. I get matcha for caffeine instead of coffee. Cost me almost 6 dollars for basically a cup of milk. Very disappointed since i drove a significant while out of my way to try this place. Didn’t see any gluten free or vegan options so i couldn’t get anything to eat. Unfortunately ended up going to another caffe immediately after because i needed caffeine The barista was incredibly nice but please don’t get the matcha.

I was here for a baby shower and it was gorgeous! Their selection of teas was incredible. Their pastries were also delicious. I think they make their own cream cheese and we were all raving about it. I would definitely come back here or host a private gathering here.

Parking was very limited tho!

The Steeping Leaf is adorable, inviting, and delicious!!! The only downside for me, is that it’s over an hour away
I’ll definitely be making the drive again to try more of the teas and amazing food!
