Inexpensive casual family dining with an attached Dairy Queen in the shadow of Barnegat Light House. A great place for a quick burger or club sandwich before you head into the State Park whose entrance is literally feet from the front door. Be aware that they’re cash-only, though — no credit or debit cards are accepted.

We’d arrived at Kelly’s a few minutes before 9PM and were thrilled they still bought us in and served a fantastic dinner even though they were about to close! Only in New Jersey would people do this for you!
Our server, Shana, was absolutely delightful! She made a great recommendation for the Philly Cheese Steak. We are from Kentucky so this was a special treat, being away from Philly for over a decade. The chowders are exquisite and the breakfasts are done to perfection.
You will get a real flavor for the Barnegat Light House at Kelly’s and the view is divine. Don’t let the outside fool you – this place shines brighter than the lighthouse! 10+ across the board – thank you for helping 2 Kentuckians (after a 15 hour drive) feel welcome and at home. We will be back!

Haven’t been down to Barnegat Light in a few years … or to Kelly’s for that matter … I had a fantastic breakfast which really hit the spot for my drive home to Philly … the waitress and the atmosphere were top notch as well!

Good food that is reasonably priced. They take your name and call when your tables ready. Friendly staff that is attentive but not rushing you. Only draw back is the air-conditioning didn’t cool the inside. They have outside seating that would probably be better on hot days when you have a breeze. Definitely will go back. Loved the New England clam chowder. And I’m a chowder snob so that’s saying a lot.

First I will say their New England clam chowder was SO good, prob some of the best I’ve had. Def worth the $9. The BLT and chicken wrap left a lot to be desired though for the price. Not necessarily bad, but nothing spectacular. I felt the wrap was on the small side (don’t think it was the normal jumbo wraps) and they put the chicken in the wrap flaming hot so the lettuce was being “cooked”. The olives in the wrap were a nice touch but instead of being sliced up nice they were like chopped all at the bottoms of the wrap. Blt was skimpy. The sandwiches also all came with chips which is nice but an extra $3.25 on top of an already escalated price for a small serving wasn’t worth it.
We loved the atmosphere because we can tell it’s an older place. We’d go back, maybe just try to be there for breakfast. 10/10 on soup, though!

Food was good, mostly the standard diner food. What I was very impressed with is, my 2 year old was very hangry and I desperately asked our server for a little something for him before the rest of our food was ready just to keep him quiet and happy. The server brought out this beautiful bowl of fruit for him and it was perfect. The service was great and everyone left happy and full. Would definitely go back after a hike up the lighthouse again!

Perfectly mediocre American diner food. Super convenient to the lighthouse, though. Cash only, there is an ATM across the street outside of Andy’s

Stopped in for dinner 2 weeks ago.
Service was good, food was so-so.
We’ve eaten here before so this visit was disappointing.
The fish tacos sounded great but were tasteless. We mentioned this to our server, who said she would tell the chef – but nothing was done to correct the problem. And for some reason, the taco shells were lightly grilled and crispy, instead of being soft, which made them difficult to eat.
Too many flies, and the people seated outdoors were fighting off the seagulls.
I won’t be back…

We (4 of us) had a nice lunch there – very crowded on Sunday morning during Memorial Day Weekend. Service was fine and friendly. Cash only & posted at door. Food was good. I’m rating it against other diners of this type… We would eat there again. Ice Cream window next to entrance if interested after!
