Our second trip here. We pigged out on over 7 dishes. One that we ordered didn’t arrive. However we had plenty. Love the easy parking and quick, happy service. Happy hour kept our Martini prices (and my wine) at bay. No Cabernet Sauvignon sadly but the Shiraz was ok. Service is fast and amiable.
We spent over a couple of hundred dollars and were quite happy. The only suggestion we might make is that the salads for every dish we’re exactly the same. Basically shredded cabbage. We might suggest something a little more imaginative. Especially when you’re out watering multiple dishes for the same table. Otherwise the food was tasty and the spicy sauces were great. Will come back.

I went back to the restaurant last night and the food was still really good. The pho was full of flavor, and my favorite dish is still the crispy fried squid ,it was cooked just right and not chewy at all. The ribs were tender and not dry like before. The chef did an awesome job. I’ll definitely be back to try more dishes.

Seriously impressed with our lunch here- we shared prawn crackers, the duck salad, and grilled pork on sticky rice. Such a cute vibe, service was great, and our meals were out super fast. The only thing I can fault is the plastic chairs aren’t super accessible for bigger bodies. Will be back next time I’m in NP!

Had a nice lunch here, the service was great, I had the sticky crispy pork, which was pretty good but not quite at a standout level, the pork itself was a little tough and a little funky tasting, and at $29 could have expected more. Others around me seem to be enjoying their food so I might have just picked unfortunately. I like the decor – it’s a fun vibe.

Absolutely loved this restaurant! The rolls were delicious and the PHO was also incredible. The comfort of the seats coule be improved. Atmosphere was colorful and very nice.

Great little coffee shop! While we did not yet try the food, we enjoyed the fast table service and the delicious Vietnamese iced coffee, well balanced and not too sweet or strong, though it was a bit small. They also did not offer decaf, which excluded me being able to get a whole additional coffee to myself. I will return to try their Asian food next time.

The pork bun cha has always been a favorite but today we tried the Sticky Ribs from the “small plates” section. It was not a small plate it was a huge plate; which was amazing.

We have been here on a few occasions now and have never been disappointed! Love to start with the squid, it’s perfectly cooked, not rubbery like most restaurants and is accompanied by a beautiful dipping sauce… the flavours are authentic and so unique to each dish. My mum and I went out tonight to celebrate an important day to us, we had the curry and the ‘off the menu’ rice cakes stuffed with shrimp on a bed of pickled vegetables. They were both divine!! We also had a couple of cocktails that were so delicious and loved that the glass wasn’t all ice. It’s definitely great value… has been my favourite restaurant in town for awhile now and would 10/10 recommend to anyone.
The staff are always lovely and friendly, you never feel like you’re being rushed… I can’t wait to go back!

My summer rolls were fresh and the sauce excellent. Crispy pork was great I just found the sauce to be a little sweet for me. bahn mi was awesome. Pho beef was abit over cooked for me still good tho. Service was fine. Would go back to try other items for sure. Nice to have a spot like this in new plymouth

Visited Rice Rice in New Plymouth and had a fantastic experience. We were served by a lovely lady, and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The customer service was exceptional and made us feel right at home.
Our food came out quickly and was absolutely amazing. Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented.
Highly recommend ,we will definitely be back again 🙂
