I have been to the loyalsock hotel quite a few times over the years. It has slowly gotten better over the years but I guess it depends on what you’re looking for. I do not enjoy the fact it is still a smoking bar but they did install filter fans. I went with a group of people this weekend and was not impressed. Out of the group we ordered a crab cake sandwich, chicken cheese steak, cheese steak melt, jalapeno peppers, and cheese fries. The crab cake sandwich was smaller than the bun it was served on and dry, though it had good seasoning. I would not order again. The chicken cheese steak and melt were both given good reviews. Though they forgot fries with one of our orders and our jalapeno poppers. When the jalapeno poppers did come out they were over cooked and had little flavor. It was a busy night with a band and it would have been helpful for them to have more than one waitress as she had a hard time keeping up and did her best. The bartender as well did a fantastic job keeping up with the crowd. The bar itself and bathrooms are clean. I give this bar 3 stars because I have heard good things about their food and am willing to give them another try even though I have not been impressed yet, the wait staff was friendly and did their best, and the establishment is clean.

This place is worse than a floating dumpster fire. The staff is rude, the customers are obnoxious. Smoking inside, scrwaming and cussing, dude was puking up at the door as I went in. Stayed about 5 minutes and then went home for a long, hot shower to wash any trace of this place off of me.

We wanted to order dinner and take home. We stopped had a drink, appetizer waited for our to go salads.
Bartender could not have been nicer. People were nice. Service was smooth. Here is the best, a smile and a Thank you too! We will be back this is the type of place people like to spend their money! Good job!

Even with the fans for smoking, it was still VERY smoky. Given it’s size, they just should not allow smoking in there. The lady bartender was very nice. The owner was a bit annoying with coming out repeatedly to tell the band to turn down the music. Bands are loud, again, probably the size of the building. I’m not impressed

Great local bar to grab some cold drinks or food. Can get busy of the weekends, but always have a good time. Highly recommend the wings, fries, cosmos, or buffalo shrimp!

We visit at least twice a month. Very good food and good service. The smoked wings are excellent. Would not recommend for someone who doesn’t like smoke.

My husband and I are not regulars of this bar and the manager whom was bartending shuts people off just because she wants to or doesn’t like you. My husband back in 2003 was not allowed any drinks b/c she thought he had evil eyes and was not even drunk at the time. Then this year we went there for the halloween party and we was only their for 3 hours, well in that time there my cousin was there was more buzzed then my husband and was served repeatedly. Then my husband wasn’t doing anything but sitting at the bar talking to our neighbors son just having conversation and before that we played a few games of pool and I sang some Karaoke having fun. Now remind you we have 3 kids we rarely EVER get out of the house together for a night to ourselves. We either one can’t afford it or he is working all the time or we don’t have a sitter. Well my mom kindly came up to sit with our kids so we could get a night out for once and we only each had 3 drinks total. He wasn’t drunk, he could walk great, talk good without slurring his words, well I was told had to take him home he was shut off. He didn’t even get to finish his beer that was full and just bought. Their was someone there who fell on the floor more than once and still got served and was a regular. Once I went out with my mom myself and there was a lady who was falling all over dancing and even peed herself and still got served. We are not going ever again. We left and went to tommy’s sports bar and he got served. We explained to the bartender there what happened and she even agreed wasn’t right and that she herself thought my husband was fine. The people we were talking with didn’t understand why either when was there and explained we had to leave and an old friend of ours who use to own a bar herself even said my husband was fine and she was upset to see us go b/c she said herself its finally nice to see the two of you out together since we never have that opportunity. Not only this their were people that came in from another party and drank moon shine and everything else and was served once again they were regulars. we went in sober without a drink in us and get told to leave. If you are not a regular don’t count on going there b/c you will be shut off for no reason.
