Overall, a nice spot for a casual bite but all dishes are not equal.
Unagi is always absolutely delicious! Coated in a thick, slightly sweet umami-rich sauce and served piping hot with perfect pull-apart flesh. The sashimi and green tea are also worth a try. Gyoza are fine, crisp on the bottom but I personally didn’t enjoy the filling. Unfortunately, I have to agree with other reviews and strongly discourage against the katsu curry – a watery and flavourless dish, served with soggy chicken and clumped rice. The leaf salad has a lot of potential, but always arrives over-drenched in dressing to the point that the bottom 1/3rd is inedible.
Gorgeous atmosphere with soft piano music and large windows creating a ghibli-like feeling about the experience. Service is really kind and helpful. Pick the right dishes and it’s golden.

Shibuku is my favorite Japanese restaurant in the area. I go there often and I’m always happy to come back. The food is always fresh, tasty and well presented. You can really feel the quality of the ingredients in every dish.
The sushi is excellent and the hot dishes are full of flavor. Everything is prepared with care and attention. I have tried many things on the menu and I was never disappointed.
A special plus is the service. The waitress is always kind, smiling and very attentive. The owner is also very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is calm and cozy, perfect for a relaxed dinner. I really recommend Shibuku to anyone who loves Japanese food and great service.

Wow! I am not one to usually post reviews but I feel like I had to after the dinner I just! The food was amazing! Incredible portion sizes and definitely worth the price! Good value food and the green tea was amazing. Probably the best green tea I’ve ever had. Staff were so lovely and the food came out so quick. You could tell the people working there really cared about the food they were making. Vibes were great, not too busy, and the music in there made me feel like I was stepping into a studio ghibli film. I definitely recommend! Will be going back for sure.

The restaurant was relatively clean and had free parking out the front. The food itself however average with the portions being quite underwhelming considering the price. The teriyaki salmon was made with what seemed to be the offcuts you buy at woolies. The service was lovely, however they seemed quite understaffed for front of house.
I was bewildered when we were greeted by a 谢谢 (thank you in chinese), misaligning the ‘traditional’ japanese experience I believe Shibuku was going for.
It was nice to explore a different japanese restaurant in the area, however I would choose other spots for a better dining experience.

This is the best Japanese Restaurant in Perth by far the quality of everything is top notch.
The service is absolutely impeccable, and the owner is absolutely amazing and should be very proud of himself
I would highly recommend to anyone by any occasion!

Made an online order for $70+. Food was absolutely underwhelming. Curry was practically water. Gyozas tasted under done and we all stuck together. Potatoes and carrots in curry were undercooked . The don teriyaki chicken was plain with very little chicken. In fact all servings were all undersized for the price point.

Amazing food at affordable prices! The reason we keep coming back is because the food is so delicious, has generous portions and is affordable. A suggestion: it would be nice if they had specials for dine in guests only. We love the cosy, casual vibe!

Honestly, really disappointed in our takeaway. Our Chicken KatsuDon was anything but! Not traditional in any way in the slightest, just chicken rice and a random mayo-like sauce. Our Karagee chicken was battered not crumbed like normal. The ramen was bland and lacked any flavour and the only good thing was the gyoza which I assume was likely straight from the packet. We will not be returning
