Delicious authentic freshly made food served by the owner himself (who is actually an Indian). Amazing time, delicious food, great atmosphere! I came here with my Indian friend who enjoyed a little piece of home ☺️

One of the best in the area. Felt like a homemade meal. When I asked for spicy the spices were well integrated into the dishes as opposed to throwing chilli to make it spicy . Worth the money !!

I was excited to see Indian cuisine in the La Fortuna area – as a tourist, I wasn’t sure what vegetarian options there would be for us. I thought it was interesting that someone would set up a desi restaurant here and as a foodie had to check it out.
Sunny seems to do it all and keeps very busy – we spoke over WhatsApp and in person when we went to dine. He has a true passion for his restaurant which you can see in the decor and in his happy demeanor.
We are used a different style of Indian food as we are Indian but live in the states. I don’t know how the owner sources what he needs to make some of these dishes – they have ingredients we had not seen in the local cuisine. Pretty impressive! He was happy to show us how he made the paneer in house. We genuinely liked the food, even though it was understandably a little different from our food back home.
The decor is very nice and clearly thoughtfully designed as you can see in the photos. From talking to Sunny, you can tell this was born out of a passion for food and cooking. Love to see his unique story and restaurant in such a niche region. Pura Vida!

The owner greeted us with kindness and made us good recommendations, delicious food. Comes with a good amount of rice, roti, cucumber salad. Very filling but we ate it all. We got the paneer masala and the chicken curry and they were both fantastic. Best Mango lassi ever and my husband had a passionfruit one which he enjoyed. Definitely recommend this place if you are craving Indian food, a little more expensive than local cuisine but worth it for the quality…

Amazing Indian food and not the typical ones like you get in the tourist places. Owner is the chef and we had a great conversation. Reminded me of home .
We had fish curry , chicken kurma and tea after the food. Everything is very tasty. recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

My husband and I agreed that this was some of the best Indian food we’ve ever tasted. Everything was so well spiced and cooked, the owner made some very thoughtful recommendations on what to order and we loved everything. Even my one year old ate and ate the tilapia and he isn’t usually a big fish eater. It was just so tender and delicious. The pepper chicken and the chana masala were great! Oh and the passion fruit lassi made our whole week more flavorful! I wish we could drink that lassi everyday!

We visited Sunny’s indian restaurant in la fortuna and it was truly one of the better Indian foods I’ve had. I say this coming from New Jersey. Our toddler also ate food here and surprisingly liked as she’s very picky. We got chicken tikka, daal, rice, naan, paneer chilli, malai tikka and beer. Definitely a great restaurant if you are in la fortuna. It was pretty close to the paradise hot springs hotel where we stayed.

Who would have expected authentic Indian food in Costa Rica, but what a nice surprise. We were greeted by the owner who is also the chef, really nice guy who shared tips for the cilantro mint chutney (which was excellent)
We each tried a different dish and were very pleased with the flavors. Stop and enjoy this place when in La Fortuna.

This is a great place if you’re craving some yummy Indian food. The owner was super friendly and kind as well. The food was great, he recommended 5 different curries for our group of 7 people and it was the perfect amount of food. The roti was really good as well!

Some of the best food we’ve had in Costa Rica! You’re not getting the standard “Chicken Tikka Masala” here – the food is made with love and a lot of spice (if you ask for it). I loved the Spicy Chicken Korma. Portions were large so come hungry! The owner Sunny is a great and authentic guy, and is very open to explaining his inspirations and story.
