I’ve been going to Momijis since I was a kid, always loved the sushi never had a complaint. Except today… first off don’t go after dark because it’s in such a sketchy area with hardly any lighting. Secondly the employees were nice enough no complaints about them but the sushi was terrible… and when I mean terrible I mean HORRID. I always get the same rolls (Salem and Vegas) they did not taste how they usually do whatsoever. I choked it down since I didn’t want to waste $25 but it was terrible and left me feeling sick afterwards. Not swearing off Momijis just yet but definitely won’t be returning to this location ever again. Maybe they need a new chef or something..

I had a frustrating visit today. When I asked if I could place my order, the staff member responded rudely, saying, “No, drinks come first.” It felt like she couldn’t handle multitasking, and her tone was dismissive.

This kind of customer service is unacceptable. After this interaction, I’ve decided not to return. I hope management takes note of this and works on improving the staff’s communication skills.

Sadly the air conditioner was not working while we were there so it was really hot.

On another note, the food was really good and the service was super friendly and fast. The yellowtail was fresh and they put a lot in the roll. The jalapeño roll was definitely unique and tasty as well. Will definitely take care of your sushi fix.

The place was really clean and there was a lot of parking.

What a great place!

My family and I dropped in at around 8 tonight (on a Thursday). Google said they were open until 10, which was incorrect for the Hawthorne location. (It’s only open until 9.) Regardless of the closing time misunderstanding, we were still made to feel wanted and welcome by the staff. The lad who took our order was so friendly and attentive, and those who were making our food were really crushing it!

We ordered the takoyaki and a few different rolls. Each portion of our meal was flavorful, held together well, and had just the right amount of everything (sauce included)! It didn’t take long to receive our orders, either! We will definitely be returning!

This place is going downhill. Sushi is getting to be mostly rice and very little sauce. Service is hurt and miss. Tonight were got brought our appetizer and no napkins or chop sticks, so we asked for them before she left the table and she then proceeded to deal with two other tables before bringing them. This will be our last visit to this location.

This place is so nice. Absolutely five stars and the prices are not bad. The food is great not to mention that Decour is so classy and light the ambience is nice the music is inviting the customer service was great. Everything was very modern. All the menus are on TVs so you don’t have to worry about germs if you don’t want to everything is wipeable. They give you all the accessories that you can think of. They have specials here and two for one Tuesdays. I’m kind of in love with this place right now I will definitely be back. This is great. They even have taps all over the place. Goldstar to whoever put this thing together can’t wait to return!

Sushi was warm and not appealing, and service from this franchise has been slow and lacking since the new manager took over.

Will be a while before I go back, if ever.

12/8/24 – Gave this particular Momiji one more chance, hoping things have gotten better since my last visit.

First thing I noticed: my Sapporo (only avail in LG) was warm, and the cucumber salad I ordered with the lunch special was much smaller than I’ve ever had here before.

One more thing of note: restaurant not busy, but this simple dish took over 30 min since my soup/salad.
