Thai 9 is hands down the best Thai food in the area! The Pad Thai is always fresh, perfectly cooked, full of veggies, and packed with flavor! I highly recommend adding the crispy chicken, you won’t regret it. Every employee greets you with a smile and is genuinely so friendly. I recently stopped in to pick up a takeout order, and it wasn’t quite ready when I arrived (only about a 5-minute wait). The employee apologized and kindly offered me a Thai iced tea on the house, which was absolutely delicious, rich, creamy, and perfectly sweet. The food, service, and attention to customers are unmatched. When we’re craving Thai food, Thai 9 is the only place we go!

I Ordered the Yellow curry with beef and it was absolutely delicious. The spice level was perfect, the veggies were cooked perfectly and it was the most tender beef I have had in a curry dish. Door dash delivered my food piping hot and quickly! Cannot wait to go again!

I live over two hours away, and yet my experience with Thai 9 has been so great, that I ALWAYS make a point to stop in when I’m in southern Maine. I have brought multiple friends and family members, and all of them have been just as impressed.
The food is extremely consistent, and delicious! I seem to almost always get the same waitress, and she is an absolute sweetheart! The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed. It seems as though most people order takeout, so it has never felt too crowded when I’ve been there.
By far one of my all time favorite restaurants. I would highly recommend to anyone interested.

I used to order quite a bit from here. My last order was filled with foreign objects. I sent photos along with many emails/calls. They have refused to refund my money. I’m very disappointed. Be aware of the food you order from here. I had ordered the Crispy Phad Tai with chicken. Clearly, that’s not chicken.

The flavor of the pad Thai I have ordered on three occasions has been delicious, however, the portion size the last two times I have been this past week have been small, and it was the dinner portion. I don’t remember being disappointed with the portion size on my first visit, so it must’ve been fine. I have ordered a lot of pad Thai in my life from many different restaurants, and this restaurant has had the smallest portions I have seen, and at the higher end of the price scale. It is so tasty that I will probably go back again, however!! I did mention this constructive criticism before visit #3, but the portion size remained the same, so I do not think it was a mistake. I am not a very large person, either, I’m a healthy size 2/4, so my belly is not very big 😛 Lastly, i should comment about the great service! My phone call was answered quickly, and placing my order didn’t take long, either. My food was ready in 20 minutes or less, and at 630pm on a Saturday night. That’s quick! Friendly service, too!! Thank you 🙂

I am surprised that this place is only rated at 4.0. The food is gorgeously plated, cooked to perfection, fresh, crisp, tasty. Great, friendly service. I am spoiled when it comes to Thai restaurants in my area, but I tend to only go out to eat at the top 2 on my list. THAI 9 easily can tie for 1st place. Bonus- 6 crab rangoons in a serving, so my friend and I had 3 each, no awkward fight for the last rangoon.

In town on work. Google search brought up “Thai 9”. We then pulled up to a small quiet restaurant 30 min before close. We were quickly seated and waited on. Staff was great. The food was incredible. I got the beef mango curry and a Thai beef salad with a lime dressing. The Curry and the salad were excellent. Great flavor different from my norm. Those were so good that I had to try the dessert. I then ordered the mango sticky rice upon recommendation from the server. It was a simple yet flavorful and seemingly healthy alternative to my traditional desserts. I didn’t have enough room to try the mango cheesecake but ill be back another time to try that. I would expect the other menu items are just as good. Everything was great. Quality, fresh ingredients, great presentation, friendly staff and filling portions. I would highly recommend this place if you want some excellent food. I ate it all before I thought to take a picture. Maybe next time.

Exceptionally yummy! The crab rangoon were crispy with a generous amount of filling, and the orange chicken came with a great sauce. Big portions for the price. Very quick service.

Overall, the foods were good, except I got one wrong ordered. Was ordered one large steam rice, but when I got home, it was a plain white noodle. Why will I be ordering plain noodles?? Another thing, red curry is looking like a yellow curry, somehow. Drunken noodles were delicious. Fried rice was not bad at all. Beef salad is kinda too sweet for me. Enough spiciness of everything, just the way I requested.
