I stopped her on a whim while visiting the area and I am pleasantly surprised. The peirogis are the best I’ve had and better than anywhere in the Cleveland area. The sausage is an in house special blend that is amazing. The cabbage rolls were perfect, the macaroons were decadent, and the honey cake was INCREDIBLE! The chicken was marinated perfectly, the carrots were impeccable, the soloway sauce is an instant classic, and the list goes on. I have zero complaints. On top of that the aesthetics were pleasing and a vibe, the entire establishment was perfectly clean which is very important to me, and the workers and owners were friendly and kind and you can tel they run their establishment with honor and pride in their work. I am friends with several Ukrainians and they are always so welcoming and friendly and that is why I had confidence to walk in the door in the first place knowing I’d be greeted with smiling faces. I did get a little teary eyed looking at the merchandise that supports Ukraine thinking of the great people we have lost but it reinforced the integrity the owners of this establishment exhibit. A true 10/10 experience that is on par with a big city establishment! don’t walk, RUN to this restaurant today! This is the gold standard.

I stopped in to Soloway Foods Ukrainian & European Restaurant for lunch while visiting Berlin, and I’m really glad I did. I had the chance to talk with the owner and learn more about them and their restaurant, and you can tell right away how much pride they put into their food. Everything is made from scratch and cooked to order.

I tried the potato pancakes, pierogi sampler, kozak wrap, and their winter spiced punch. I enjoyed every single thing I ordered everything was fresh, flavorful, and came with great dipping sauces. And that winter spiced punch? The perfect warm and cozy drink on a cold day.

If you’re visiting Berlin, this absolutely needs to be one of your stops. Make sure to say hi to the owners they’re incredibly friendly, helpful with the menu, and happy to explain what’s what if you’re new to Ukrainian food.

And if you’re thinking, “I don’t know if I’d like Ukrainian food,” trust me: if this small-town guy likes it, I’m sure you will too. Highly recommend!

We’re staying in Berlin for the weekend & decided to try out Soloway. So glad we did! The food was top notch! I should have taken a picture before we started eating, but we couldn’t help ourselves! I highly recommend the beef perogies. I wish I would have gotten more of them! The potato pancakes, Carpathian pilaf, & mashed potatoes were all just as great. The Marina sauce was so flavorful! The staff were so kind as well. This is a must stop if you’re visiting Berlin!

Although I love Amish cooking, I found this Ukrainian restaurant to be a welcomed change of cuisine. I had the perogies, the grilled pork sausage, and the potato pancakes. I also got a piece of Honey Cake to go! Although I would have preferred the food to have been seasoned heavier than it was, it was of high quality both in preparation and presentation.

Superb food-great service. The taste of the food gets a 10 from me! everything was done perfectly and was flavorful. Where i was really impressed though was the presentation. Despite it being an” order at the counter” place the food was brought to our table on real plates and so tastefully presented I would of thought it was a Michelin 3 star establishment.

What a great little place this was to stop in for lunch.
We were greeted with a smile and some menus to take a look at while we sit at our beautiful wooden tables.
Soloway Foods has been here for about a year the young man behind the counter told me.
The food was absolutely delicious.
I was not able to eat the horseradish the way that it is served as it has beet juice in it So I asked if it was possible to just get original horseradish without the beet juice in it and to my surprise the young man served me up a cup of horseradish for my sausage without any issue.
So pleasant!
The young man was very attentive to cleaning off our table as we moved from plate to plate devouring our delicious lunch.
I highly recommend trying any of the combos.
I also heard that the Carpathian pilaf was delicious.
My husband and son both had combo number 3 the Hardy platter.
The potato pancakes were delicious and the sausage was very good and tasty.
My son’s favorite part was the cheese wrap very unique!
I absolutely love the Soloway way sauce!!!
I have never had Borscht before wow I sure am missing out.
We also did a side of all their pierogis minus the beef ones as they were out of those.
Oh my goodness the pierogi was like a little cloud of fluffy goodness, so light and scrumptious.
The dough was total perfection.
I will most definitely come back.
Please give it a try you won’t be sorry.

We can’t say enough about how delicious the food is at Soloway’s. We have had the pilaf, borscht, pierogis, potato cakes, cheesy bread and sausage over several visits and every dish was special. The servers are friendly and attentive. The restaurant is spotless and the decor celebrates Ukraine. We especially enjoyed the TV video on the wall of spectacular Ukrainian scenery. This is our new go to restaurant when we visit the area. Get off the main street and discover this gem.

Our family of 4 enjoyed everything we ordered (Borscht, Kozak wrap, Ukrainian Set, Chefs Trio, Perogies). Everything was perfectly seasoned and the staff were friendly and attentive. The deal if the day is their huge slice of honey cake. Will definitely be going back.
