The folks behind Wallie’s Seafood and Po’boys got their start back in New Orleans in the ‘90s, where they spent years mastering the art of all things cajun cooking. They figured these eats were too good to be relegated to a single region, so they brought some Big Easy cuisine straight to the heart of Houston, TX. Now, you can catch this food truck rolling through the Lone Star state dishing out zesty fare on the daily.

I really wanted to like this food truck, but unfortunately my experience wasn’t great. The location felt unsafe, which made it uncomfortable to stay for long. As for the food, the gumbo was disappointing—the rice tasted like instant rice, and the chicken lacked seasoning and flavor. I was also concerned about cleanliness, as the inside of the trailer appeared messy. I hope this feedback helps the owners improve, because the concept has potential.

Everything was good, but I give them a 8/10. Just because that koolaid was soooo sweet my chest was burning, they charge $2 for rice on the side, And they should tell everybody you getting swai, and not actual catfish! But I’ll definitely go back!

Food and lemonade was delicious I only had a few issues. The pasta was too soft and fish needed more seasoning the breading was good though. You have good food and I will be back. My family loved the food. My husband had no issues he said everything is seasoned well. My son also liked it he gave you a thumbs up with a big smile. Just be prepared to wait cause it’s cooked fresh but the wait wasn’t really bad. You can sit in your car and they will call you when ready. Bottom line we will be back.

I ordered the shrimp and fish basket. Everything was seasoned well and made to order. Parking is limited and wait times were 25 plus mins both times I visited. Definitely worth the trip if you have a little time to burn!

I had a taste for some gumbo and when my usual place didn’t have any, I went soul searching. Lo and behold. Found them on TikTok. Why haven’t I came across this place sooner?
I ordered a large gumbo with crab, chicken, and sausage, extra spicy with a mixed drink.
Though there was a bit of a wait (as it should), Tiffany, Wallie, and the crew were extremely friendly and welcoming. I took that time to glance over their other menu for more entree and treats.
I couldn’t even get out the parking lot before trying the gumbo, I melted in my seat. The hit the nail on the head with that one. Their
I definitely will be back to try other menu items (i.e. the fried fish and shrimp with hush puppies).

I came back to update my review to a 5 star. I low key hate that so many of y’all found out about them. (Just kidding ) The food is still
The food was hot and fresh. We ordered the fish & shrimp platter which came with fries, toast and hush puppies. The toast had a tasty butter sauce on it. They were a little stingy with their house sauce, they only gave use 1. I wish they had tartar sauce. The service was excellent! They went above and beyond and took our order from our car so when didn’t even have to get out and they brought it to us when it was ready. I would definitely recommend to give them a try.

Superb hood eats….friendly customer service, great tasting fish & shrimp dinner, very nicely done pasta dish. Very busy today, call in your order if you can. Will surely return. DO NOT forget the lemonade, deliciousness.

The food was amazing I drove 30 mins to try them out and it was worth the drive, we got the seafood gumbo and the catfish and shrimp platter & i will be back tomorrow for a second round.
