For an airport this place is actually quite good. We had the pizza which was very good. Service was fast and the environment very good for an airport.
We intentionally did not order the salmon or steak because they were overprice by a good 20%.
Note to management: I personally don’t think many people will pay over NYC prices for things like steaks and salmon. My recommendation is to lower your prices to match the quality of food and service. I think you’ll see a spike in sales and less hostility regarding over priced items.

Stopped by Nonna’s Kitchen Bar for a quick breakfast just before 6:00 AM, and I was pleasantly surprised.
Unlike other spots in the terminal that either weren’t ready or didn’t have a chef yet, Nonna’s Kitchen was up and running early. No delays, no excuses — just service.
The place is clean, conveniently located near the gates, and the staff moved fast. Coffee was served almost immediately, with free refills — a big plus for early travelers.
My breakfast (“build your own omelet”) was ready in about 5 minutes. The eggs were cooked well, and it came with a fresh side salad dressed in a light lime vinaigrette — simple, fresh, and satisfying.
I had checked the reviews beforehand and noticed they weren’t particularly high, but my experience was different. Maybe it was because it was early in the morning and the team was fresh on their shift, but I really did get my food fast.
Quick, clean, and efficient — exactly what I needed to start a travel day right.
Recommended for anyone catching an early flight out of Terminal C.

We ordered 2 burgers for medium which took more than 40 minute to serve. We realized the burgers were over cooked while eatting and asked for new medium cooked burgers. All of sudden, tall black dud with braided hair came out from kitchen and refused to serve the burgers with attitude. This place deserves native 5 stars. I wasted $100. Dont waste your money here.

The prices are high, which is expected at an airport, but the real problem is the tipping policy. A tip was automatically included without my consent and charged before any service was given. That’s not acceptable. wish I could rate this place zero stars.
but gave one star for food

Simply the worst place I’ve ever tried to eat at!!! The ordering app didn’t work, they wouldn’t accept cash because they had no change, refused to sell beer, and the attendant actually told us to buy it somewhere else
Rude staff and zero willingness to help. They don’t deserve one single star.
To make it even worse, they had porn playing on the restaurant TV in the middle of the night.

Ordered the classic breakfast with chicken sausages, fried eggs, potatoes and coffee. Their potatoes are thin cut, fried with green onions, so crispy and delicious. Very strong coffee. Large and clean dining environment.

We were pleasantly surprised with their spaghetti with meatballs, al dente pasta, tasty and not bread crumb-y meatballs, light pomodoro, and a touch of grated Parmesan.
Seafood frito misto was crispy, not rancid but needed a lemon wedge though.

I visit Nonna Kitchen in my last travel to Terminal C at Newark airport and because was the near my departing gate. I want it to eat pizza so I ordered the Margarita pizza which one of the main ingredients to make it Margarita pizza was fresh basil. I also ordered beer on tap Peroni. When I got my pizza there no greens I ask the bartender ( Guatemalan descendent) ( forgot his name, sorry) this pizza supposed to have fresh basil and then he says they didn’t have it. I say they should tell me if I want the pizza without 1 of the main ingredients. The only correct it action was to apologize and refill my glass of beer. The pizza though was the worst I have ever tried. The beer was ok but not great. Tab beers are very rare to find because their system are not calibrated to give you great beer. Most times are flat. The server was very friendly and I highly recommend him to save the company the customers that are dissatisfied with their food. I never understand why restaurants at airports have the lowest quality of food but the highest prices in any place. I don’t mind paying but for good food. That’s why my rating is so low. I am attaching a photo of the bill. When he tried to send me the bill he couldn’t do it because the system was giving him hard time to do it and I have to get to my gate. Now a few hours later I am sitting in another airport in London Heathrow. I visited Caffe Nero where I got a gourmet sandwich Mozzarella Yomato & Pesto sauce in gluten free bread, bottle of Birra Moretti and a bag of potato chips. The difference from US food in a sit down restaurant and a caffe place in the UK are as big as the ocean I just cross. The sandwich was delicious and the servers offered me to toast it, the beer delicious and the chips as clean as they can be. I have to say US restaurants at airports have to pick up their game. Cause passengers like me will definitely not stop by Nona’s again. lastly the price difference was as big as distance I just crossed. Shame Nonna.

I thought it was impossible to mess up a vegetarian pizza, but I was mistaken. It was soggy, with an overpowering taste of tomato purée, and served cold. It was practically inedible, especially considering it cost over $25, which only added to my frustration. It cost $121 for 3 people and we all left hungry. I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs. You’d be better off eating a bag of Cheetos—at least that way you won’t end up with an upset stomach and an empty wallet before boarding your flight.

Absolutely unacceptable. After 40 minutes, I finally received my egg white scrambled sandwich — but the bacon and avocado sides only arrived 10 minutes later, and only because I asked. The coffee? I had to get it myself because no one seemed to care.
The place was almost empty, yet the service was unbelievably slow and inattentive. This is an airport restaurant, where people are on tight schedules. Are you kidding us? Completely disorganized and careless. I would not recommend this place to anyone in a rush — which is basically everyone at an airport.
