Amazing Italian Deli!!

Ordered a small meatball sub for sharing there and a large Italian Sub to share for later since I was on the move..

Meatball sub was glorious!! I loved it and it curbed my craving for sure!

Italian sub was delicious and very filling!!

Service was great, store was clean and they have tins of premade options to go for warming at home.

Incredible incredible business!!

I don’t live in the area, but when I’m anywhere near here I will be back!!

What a waste of money. Take the word ITALIAN out. If this was in Brooklyn, it would be out of business in a week.

1. The bread was nasty. Good enough for the Californian that doesn’t know any better. Jersey Mike’s had better bread. Subway had better bread. Soft doesn’t make it better, the dough, salt and yeast does.

2. The arugula and veggies were great, the meat slices not so much.

3. Now, the cannolis, what a waste of money. Half the shell was empty, see photos, the shell was/is hard as a rock, so their supplier needs to be changed. Again, west coasters don’t know any better.

Waste of money and time. Italian deli… that’s funny. Let’s go to Olive Garden for authentic… or Taco Bell for Mexican. Lol.

At least, the least, use Thumanns, Boars head. This is more like Oscar Mayer or Hormel.

Spend the extra money and go to Brent’s Deli.

But if it works for you and your clientele, then good for the owner.

But the cannolis. Waste of money

I gave been using Bottega for years; from grabbing a quick delicious sandwich for lunch to catering events in my home so many times, I cannot count. Each time I use them for an event almost every one at the party absolutely loves the food and how authentic it tastes. Of course I refer them to Botegga. Everything is delicious and I mean everything! Eggplant Parmesan is my favorite and I will not eat that dish anywhere else but there. I am Italian from NY and used to homemade Italian dishes made by my Nana and my mother. Botegga’s dishes taste just like my nana’s did. But again, try it all, you will not be disappointed.

Oh, and everyone and I mean everyone is super friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond!

Affordable, delicious Deli Subs! Yes, I will be back.

$30 for 2 x 12″ subs is a great deal. Add 2 soft drinks and a pint of spumoni, and lunch for 2 comes out to $42 ish dollars… with a patio table. Enjoy the fresh air.

#2 Bresaola & Mozzarella: thinly sliced, cured beef (like carpaccio), with tomatoes, mushrooms. Get some balsamic vinegar, and this sandwich is a delight.

#6 L’Americano: Prosciutto, Roast Beef, Ham, Pastrami, swiss cheese & roasted peppers. Served hot. Yum

The bread! Omg, the sandwich bread is amazing, crunchy, airy.

Love this place! I really do feel like you’re getting your money’s worth here. As long as they keep their prices the same, and hang on to that adorable staff behind the counter, this place is a Hidden Gem on Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

I’m Italian and I went to this store many times. I had issues because they make Italian food but they have Mexicans workers inside. Many times they do not prepare the dish correctly. I complained to the Italian owner. Now again they make the food in the wrong way. For example, I use to purchase prosciutto crudo which is lunch meat and it needs to be sliced really thin, transparent, but they slice thick, way too thick. That, changes all the product’s taste and destroys the dish. If you want to serve Italian food, you need Italians in the chicken that knows the culture. Point. I will add pics to show this embarrassing prosciutto crudo . I will never go to this store anymore. First 4 photos of the embarrassing prosciutto crudo that they served to me. Fifth photo show how prosciutto crudo should be sliced. The sixth photo shows the difference between the 2. Never be there anymore.

I was at a party recently where they served fantastic sandwiches. We were throwing a party about a week later, so we asked where they were from at it was Bottega Italian Deli in Thousand Oaks. They were very kind there and the prices were very reasonable for what it was! We also picked up some macaroni salad and mushrooms and it all went over very well!

We’ll definitely be ordering from here again!

I’ve always loved Italian subs but could never find a spot that really impressed me—until my boyfriend and I stopped here on our way to the beach. It did not disappoint! Their subs are the best, and the caprese salad and cannolis are just as amazing. This place has quickly become our go-to deli.

Was looking for a new deli to try, and came across Bottega. Was greeted by the friendly staff and felt very welcomed! I tried the #3 Turkey/fontina but swapped for Gouda instead!! The bread was fresh and soft the sandwich itself was delicious! Picked up a piece of lasagna and some blueberry cake! All freshly /daily made! This definitely my new go to for deli sandwiches!
