We arrived at 7:15pm on Friday evening, a holiday. We were told the waitlist was about 30 minutes. While waiting, I was genuinely impressed watching the servers. They were all working incredibly hard to accommodate such a busy night, practically speed-walking to keep up with orders. We ended up only waiting about 15 minutes to be seated, which was great.
After ordering, our food took about 45 minutes to come out. We ordered two sodas and the special combo plate, which included 1 lb snow crab, 1 lb king crab, 2 lbs shrimp, 1 lb sausage, corn, and potatoes. We chose a mix of garlic butter and Cajun seasoning with medium spice.
When our order arrived, we noticed the potatoes were missing. We mentioned it to our server, and she checked with the cook. She returned and told us that they had run out of potatoes so substituted boiled eggs instead. Unfortunately, this was not mentioned before we ordered, and no one checked with us before making the substitution. Thankfully neither of us has an egg allergy or that could have been a serious issue. We were disappointed. They did give us a $4 discount. There were four pieces of corn, so I assume there would have been four potatoes, which according to the menu would have been about an $8 value. We appreciated the discount, though.
As we continued eating, we realized the sausage was missing as well. That was another disappointment. We asked our server if they’d run out of sausage too, and she brought some out shortly after. I also noticed, as mentioned in other reviews, that the shrimp was a little overcooked.
For the amount we paid (around $155 after tax), we expected fewer mistakes and missing items. That said, the flavor was excellent. The seasoning was perfect, and there was plenty of sauce at the bottom of the pan for dipping, so no need to pay extra for an additional sauce cup.
Despite the hiccups, the food was very tasty and we will still be back.

Thr service and server was attentive but not intrusive at all, we once said ” oh I forgot to order tarter sauce!” And she gave us some 2 minutes later. But the food was rather disappointing. Good seafood is expensive, but so is bad seafood apparently. BUT i personaly loved the fried rice and i named the little robots kiera and Lyra.

A friend picked this restaurant and it was a very fun (and funny) surprise!
We were confused about the menu and then pleased to figure out it is similar to getting a low country boil.
The shrimp were fantastic. You get to pick your spice level and their hot is actually hot, so that was great too.
Before getting your food they give you tools, bibs and gloves.
We had a great time and will go back for dinner and try their large meal special.

First time trying this restaurant and it was a good experience. Variety of seafood and flavors. Calamari was a little tough but was a good snack. Server was warm and welcoming.

Not enough sauce on the boil, it just was way too salty to finish and i would not recommend getting one.
However the fried catfish was so delicious I’ll be back for that alone. I’m not sure if it’s breaded in house but it was amazing.
We rarely saw our server which was a bummer because we did need things to enjoy our meal, aside from that they were very friendly.

Me and my fiance both had 1lbs of the following. Dungeness, crawfish, black muscles, and shrimp. The muscles and shrimp were great and we really liked the all mixed seasoning. The short fall was the crab. We paid almost 80 dollars for us both to have a crab it fell way short. The crabs texture was odd and did not have much flavor. The meat just desitigrated and stuck to the shell making it really hard to eat. Not sure what’s up with that but it was very disappointing for the price we paid. The overall service was great.

I’ve eaten at The Yummy Crab about four times now, and it’s become my daughter’s favorite place. The food really does live up to the name. Everything is cooked fresh and customized right before you eat, and eating it straight off the table is part of the fun. It’s flavorful, hands-on, and consistently tasty.
The atmosphere doesn’t quite match the quality or price of the food. It feels more like a sports bar or a takeout spot than a sit-down seafood restaurant, and probably not the place you’d choose for a date night or special occasion. That said, the food more than makes up for it, and it’s absolutely worth going for the experience and the flavor.

We ordered hush puppies for an appetizer. For the main course we ordered the one pound shrimp one pound crab combo and added an extra side of corn. Our appetizer didn’t come out until after the main course, if I hadn’t asked about it I’m not sure we would have gotten it. It was a bit if a wait on the food but our waitress was friendly. I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you don’t have a lot of time to wait. The food was yummy, the garlic butter with old bay was nicely seasoned. What we ordered was enough for myself and two children to feel satisfied. If you’re craving a seafood boil this place definitely hits the spot. It is pretty kid friendly, they gave my kiddos crayons to draw on the paper that lined the table which they loved!

The waitress/ hostess was incredibly nice and helpful. Probably the best service I’ve had in a while. The food was on point and delicious. I don’t know her name but yummy crab definitely should consider giving her a raise. She made the experience amazing. She was working May 30th lunch hour.
