Fantastic spot for tacos. They had stuffed tacos full of meat and it was very, very flavorful. I got the carne asada tacos and I love them. They have a topping bar where you can just grab as many limes or sauces that you need, which I love. I hate having to ask for extra limes or sauce and here I can just grab it myself. The drinks are not real agua fresca though that was a bit of a disappointment. I ended up getting a soda instead but I would have loved a fresh horchata. Still food wise I highly recommend this place and I will be back next time I come. I asked for the tacos with no guacamole and they still put guacamole on the tacos but it was so good that I’m not mad about it.

Got the cali burrito, carne asada nachos, and Mexican street corn. They were all delicious. It was easy to order and the lady was very nice. The music was a little loud and it was very packed. It isn’t the biggest place but was delicious.

Would give 6 stars if I could. Some of the best tacos I’ve had. So cool that they make the tortillas fresh to order. The churros were out of this world, I’m afraid I won’t be able to find one this good again. 10/10 will be back!

I went to this place for the first time and it was great. Luckily we got there in time. There was a long line after us. I got the carne asada and Pollo asada and it was so yummy. They have a salsa bar which was great. I would recommend this place for sure.

Had the baja taco, carnitas, and birria tacos. They were very filled (opposite of dainty) and had paper wrapping near the base like an ice cream cone to assist in where to grab it. Enjoyed the salsa bar although it was rather salty. I tried the mar y tierra burrito with steak and shrimp as well but enjoyed the tacos more for variety per size ratio.

Hands down, the absolute BEST taco spot in Gaslamp, likely the best – definitely my favorite – in SD County (granted, my experience is along the coast and Vista/Escondido for the most part). The salsa selections are phenomenal, flavorful, and they taste truly fresh. The best of the best (again, in my opinion): Blue Azul, grilled Pescado, Birria, and Carne Asada. Any of those with a splash of green salsa are rock-solid and massive flavors while still having a depth of delicious that’s hard to find elsewhere! And this was based primarily on a visit after 10pm on Super Bowl Sunday when so much was closing in Gaslamp. But I will say my other visits have been as tasty too…

Came here on a Tuesday for Happy Hour where they had 5 dollar beers! Unfortunately this deal only applied to Dos Equis lager so I got that. I wanted to get the Dos Equis Negro on tap. For food I got a Baja Taco which has Fried Battered Fish, Cabbage, Pico De Gallo and Chipotle Sauce. Really solid piece of fish, very long. Also the taco was easy to eat, this was a “less is more” situation. The salsa bar is legit, when I see Habanero slices in the onions, you know its a proper mexican taco place! Great food and chill employees! Also came here a 2nd time and ordered Al Pastor Tacos and Churros. Churros were ok, they were a bit too crispy, might have been out for a bit.

Good food, great salsa bar, quick service!
The food is really good! The el pastor taco had a good portion of meat, there was some fat in there but nothing crazy. We also had the Mar y Tierra burrito which was really good but we were not a fan of the cabbage mix.
The vibes here are great and the space is so thoughtfully laid out and decorated.
Salsa bar is amazing!! All of the salsas are tasty and there is good variety.
The prices they have listed on the website seem to be outdated but they have good deals on tacos on Tuesday and game days.

I ordered carne asada tacos with flour tortilla but didn’t realize that selecting lettuce “protein style” would completely remove them. No one clarified this at the counter, and the cashier’s attitude made me feel judged for not knowing their internal menu terms.
What really disappointed me wasn’t just the missing tortilla — it was the lack of basic courtesy. A simple, “Did you mean to remove the tortilla?” would’ve made all the difference. Instead, I got a dismissive look and a receipt held at arm’s length like I should already know their system.
The food itself was good, and I would’ve enjoyed my meal if I’d gotten what I clearly intended to order. I’m not asking for special treatment, just clear communication and a little respect for customers who don’t speak the “insider” language.

Stopped by for a quick lunch during comic con. They make the tortillas right in front of you. The food is tasty and served fast. Plus they have an extensive salsa bar. I would definitely come back again for fresh food and a fast way to get some energy.
