I gave it a four star due to the waitress I had. She did ok. But I ask a question about my food. And she never came back to my table not even to ask for refills.
Now about the food. I got the special sub and so did my husband. It was supposed to be like a Philly sub. I hard got if any cheese. So then the cook came over and he apologized and fixed the problem. (See pictures ) . I let the cook know I blog.
Although I feel for $8.50 it really wasn’t worth it. I hardly got any meat. Or mushrooms.
But the flavor was spot on. There food over all is real good … I would still recommend this place. Bathrooms were clean too.

So, I just finished eating there and I was pleasantly surprised. I’d read many of the negative reviews, but went in with an open mind. They weren’t busy at all. The owner served me and he was very hospitable and generous. We spoke about the veggie pizza that I ordered and he made the suggestion of adding feta (this was after he served me my pizza). I stated what a good idea feta was and he offered me some, free of charge. He brought me hot sauce too after he offered and I accepted. He was very attentive and was doing his best to make sure I was satisfied and enjoyed my time there. Give them a chance. He may not have a “bubbly” personality that some people want, but he was generous, genuine and kind. We even joked about the WWE wrestling on the TV.

Used to really love this place. Seems every time we order it costs more and amount of food goes down. I ordered a super sub and it barely had a full piece of each type of meat. Very little lettuce/onion. One slice of microwave bacon for whole sub. Didn’t even bother to include a pickle! Lived here my whole life and grew up eating here. Nickel and Dime for not a whole lot! Sorry to say I won’t be back. Dressing isn’t worth paying as much as a whole bottle of ranch at super market

Never a good experience here, I went with my kids and ordered chicken strips and I got what looked like some fun nuggets they pulled out of a bag from a grocery store. The dressing for my salad was lacking and my sub had no flavor. I remember coming here about 7 years ago and the food was great. I will take my business to the other House of Pizza’s in the area.

We have not been here for 12 years because of a cigar smoker in the dining area. We have it another try and it was outstanding!! Great friendly service from Tiffany. It is a smoke free restaurant these days too.

Ordered two pizzas for take out as well as two orders of cheese bread. All the employees were masked, restaurant was clean and order was correct~mostly food was hot and delicious and made for a great family experience at a very affordable price. Thank you so much for being such a professional restaurant~kudos to your first rate staff

I ordered an hot oven sub to go…got home and it was not toasted, there was no cheese, and the lettuce was brown…I literally threw my meal in the trash!!!

Good experience followed by not so good… I was starving and went online to see a menu, nonexistent…. tried to find a website or a Facebook page to get some idea of pricing, hours and menu items but nothing… this is 2016 isn’t it? I tried calling around 4pm and it rang 15 times so I just hung up and went somewhere else. Nothing like being annoyed when your already hungry! Although the one time I did have pizza from there it was very very good, I’ve had to make the decision to find a new place that actually WANTS to be in business.
Now I get it when I see Dominos delivery guys driving up and down every street around here: terrible pizza+great service=$$
It’s a huge shame. I would give them a 1 star for the bad experience but the pizza is the best I’ve had so 3 stars is the worst they deserve.

Ordered Elgin House of Pizza Togo through the Kershaw county Togo app and BOTH times I’ve done it, my order has been wrong. Clearly stated how I wanted my sub in the special comments and even called both times to make sure they read special comments. The first time I let it go, second time I called to let them know it was wrong. They told me I had to come there to pickup if I wanted a new sub. I wasted delivery fee and tip Bc I ended up having to go get my food. When I got there to take pick up, they didn’t even give me new, fresh fries so the ones I originally got were cold since I had to leave to get pick up food. Never once apologized. I def won’t be ordering from there again. Rude people who don’t know how to read!
