Oder wie es der Guide Michelin so schön sagt:
Few formal dining experience are as revered or as intimate as omakase, a form of Japanese dining in which guests leave themselves in the hands of a chef and receive a meal which is seasonal, elegant, artistic and uses he finest ingredients available.

We went to Ushi hoping to relive some of our best memories from our holidays in Japan — and it absolutely delivered! From the first bite, we felt transported back. The quality of the ingredients, the authenticity of the flavors, and the attention to detail in every dish were outstanding. The atmosphere was warm and elegant without being pretentious. It’s not easy to find a place that captures the true Japanese spirit so well.
Highly recommended, we’ll definitely be back! ✨

Rena was absolutely wonderful! The food and overall experience, excellent. Space was cozy and modern. We enjoyed every moment. I’ve never been a big fan of sushi, but this visit completely changed my mind. Highly recommend! We had the 7-course menu. Shout out to the chef/s in the kitchen.
It was a birthday dinner

From the moment we stepped into Ushi, Rena greeted us like cherished guests. She was incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely lovely. Her husband, Chef Shigeru Fujita, prepared an absolutely outstanding menu that we’re still thinking about.
We were there to celebrate my birthday, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. We had the multi-course menu and loved every single dish. Each course was beautifully presented, full of flavor, and thoughtfully composed. You can feel the passion and precision behind every bite.
Rena’s hospitality and Shigeru’s culinary artistry made the evening truly special. Ushi is one of those rare places where everything just feels right. We can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely delicious, you can either eat a la carte or a tasting menu either way it’s both delicious, dishes range from wagyu steak soups to sushi which is the main thing in the restaurant. The one “negative” is that it’s very expensive, which doesn’t mean that it isn’t worth because it definitely was. I recommend getting the tasting menu. The menu is delicious it’s light and the courses come very fast. The atmosphere is really fitting it’s quiet and fitting for the restaurant. The service was also amazing, the server showed how everything was to be eaten and was overall very nice and fast. Overall I would definitely recommend going there.

We had a great dinner at USHI. None of us had heard of the place before but that made it even more special. We ordered the 5-course menu and it was a great choice. All of us agreed that it was the best and most authentic sushi we ever had outside of Japan – everything was just perfectly aligned, from looks to taste to the outstanding service. We really did not have anything to complain about. Place is very cozy and feels extremely special. A true hidden gem!

The omakase is wow! Quality of products is absolutely amazing, flavours are very well balanced and the atmosphere is exactly what you expect from a spot like this. Quiet atmosphere with excellent service.
Would be a dream to have “chef’s table” spots, that’s what I’d do next time and suggest to you in case you have a romantic date for example. The place is quite small and intimate. Not very full.

Although this small building used to be a public toilet (as I was told by the owner) don’t worry – the ambience is marvelous, despite it’s small size. Staff was very friendly and helpful – we even got the list of wines server when we asked (handwritten – thanks for the effort!). Although the prices are on the higher end I think it’s totally worth it! The food was outstanding – chef Shigeru Fujita is doing a fantastic job!
Will surely come back for another bigger occasion. Till then!

The most incredible dining experience I have had in Munich so far. We had the 7 course menu which was perfect. The staff is extremely kind and attentive. I would recommend to book the 7 course menu on the bar for the Omakase experience and to watch the chef do his magic. Highly recommend!

Outstanding experience.
More that a chef, this cook is an artisan. An artist of the finest cuisine.
I ate the “Omakase” menu, and it was delicious. With the Matcha Mille Crêpes for desert, it was enough amount of food.
Every single nigiri was perfectly prepared and presented. The fish has its natural taste, something you don’t find in the usual sushi places. The “toro” was particularly tasty.
The dishes designed by the chef, more out of the box, were also very tasty. He plays with textures, tastes and colours and the result is great. I enjoy particularly the miso soup cappuccino.
Interesting selection of wines. Good Riesling and good sake, of course.
I highly recommend sitting at the counter to watch the chef cooking.

We went the second time around to Ushi and as last time the food was perfect from flavors to textures using specifically creates sauces for each bite, and souvide prepared fish or slow smokes, depending on the dishes. Including accompanying wines and sake we paid €450 for two, certainly not a bargain but worth every penny.
