This recipe for success was created by founder and current day majority owner Eugene R. Alvarez. In 1982, Mr. Alvarez (a.k.a. Ramiro) opened the 1st El Pollo Supremo in the agricultural town of Oxnard, CA. Update after reply from establishment:
While maybe 8 pieces seems like a whole chicken that is false advertisement (charging US26 for drums and thighs is just wrong). You need to add a disclaimer online saying that substitutions might happen because as of right now the description under whole chicken is 2 drums, 2 thighs, 2 wings, 2 breast (one piece cut in two). Like I mentioned I had to place a second order because product didn’t arrive as advertised. Update the description on your platforms, I would have never ordered knowing 2 pieces of breast would not arrive or would be potentially substituted. I’ve been at the establishment when cooking you add a whole chicken to the grill if you took a breast to add on another order and charge them more for white meat that makes more sense than the reason you described below. Basically scamming people. Update your descriptions.
Prices are fair, would definitely recommend/return!
Sundays the plaza is a mad house in terms of traffic/ parking?
Paid $80.00 for uncooked food. Placed order for pick up over the phone was told it would be ready in 25 minutes. Got to the place and had to wait at least another 20 minutes. Everything except the rice is uncooked. Ribs are still red and bloody, Yuca is not fried and chicken is just disgusting. Don’t waste your money. Go to the one in I nion city or West New York.
