We came around 730pm, it feel like this place is more for locals. after 10pm it turns into a night club, they had lots of woman working the room. I enjoyed my crab and mussels but the lobster sandwich was more of a lobster salad in a roll. Our waitress spoke English and was nice but the other waitresses asked us 3 times if we were ready to leave when we were just trying to relax n drink. They give a good amount of lemons , but the super Micheladas don’t have a shot of tequila we had to buy separately an add to the drink

I had tried tons of seafood places, and this place is number 1 on my list. I cannot wait to go back.

The flavor is like no other. Best believe I was slurping every bite. Get the Shabang.

I ordered DoorDash thinking this place was called Cajun Crackin’ but it’s not. The crawfish were tiny, mushy, and tasted terrible. Almost as if they were frozen, which is not what I paid for. Called them to talk about the quality and the person who picked up didn’t even know the name of their store. I feel like Thats false advertising if you’re running a business with two different names. Horrible.

The owner here honored pricing that was different and was so kind to my daughter and I. The waitress was kind and thoughtful and made our visit extra special. I’m grateful for the kindness shown to us and the time and effort spent helping us. They truly care about the food, the customer service and the overall experience. I will come here everytime we come to San Jose. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Also this was a delicious Michelada! I’d totally come just for the Michelada.

The food!!!! It was so good and I literally am stuffed, so much food that I couldn’t eat it all. The house sauce was fire! Spicy but good heat. Can’t say enough good things about the place.

Picture is the leftovers I am taking home- the rest was eaten up.

My partner decided to take a stab at this place for our new restaurant fridays… and I’d have to say the place did not disappoint.

We arrived at 4pm, an hour after opening. Parking was easy and right in front. Once we walked in we were greeted by a pair of young ladies and brought to the booth. The place was LARGE, I only wish I took the time to take a photo, but it had slipped my mind. Everything was new and clean just as you’d expect from a restaurant that opened a week before.

Menus were paper and disposable, so you know there weren’t any dirty hands prior.

We had ordered 1 lb of shrimp, house sauce, mild. The shrimp was plump and not shriveled like the other some other boil spots. Tasty and not too spicy, sometimes mild can get a hella spicy.

In addition, we ordered a whole dungeness crab, garlic butter, no spice. Man, was the head delicious, I think that’s how you can tell the crab is fresh if the fats in the body/head are sweet and doesn’t smell like a sewer. Though it seemed a little overcooked, it wasn’t so much to ruin my experience.

Lastly we ordered a dozen oysters, sweet and good, only wish they had horseradish.

Unlimited soda is always great.

Service from Breanna was attentive as well, she checked on us every 5 minutes or so to see if we need anything.

I’d have to give the place 5 stars, nothing ruined my dining experience.

As your first choice for dinner, give this place a try.

The service of the atmosphere were really great. The issue was the seafood which I felt wasn’t fresh. I have eaten lots of crab and shrimp over the years and know the difference of fresh seafood and old seafood. Either the crab was old or was overcooked when I tried to crack the legs it broke completely in half including the meat which didn’t taste fresh. I was only able to eat three or four shrimp because they taste so bitter. Other than that the staff and the establishment was clean and friendly. It is possible that it was not their fault and it was just a bad batch of seafood that they received. The best thing of my dinner was the garlic pasta which was a very large serving but tasted good.

This place is quite disgusting . the food was good but the environment was weird. the big tvs and lighting and mariachi was great . the women working there were nice. i don’t know if those men around the damn bar or whatever were also working there but they made me so uncomfortable . men and women kept walking to the back and then a few minutes later they would come back. this kept happening with multiple people. looks like it’s a private strip club situation . disgusting . on my way out, many of the men around the bar or whatever again, took pictures of me. seems like trafficking. also why is there a photographer coming to tables taking pictures? without consent?? it just feeds into the idea that this place is weird and needs to be investigated. my daughter cried after we got out from how uncomfortable she felt.

Mannnnnnnnnnnnnn everytime I make a trip down to SJ, something always has to be closed. It happens so much, it’s not even funny anymore.

Let me tell you how excited I was to try Claw Shack. Drove all the way there to find out that they’re closed for the week. Boi was I disappointed. We opted for another seafood boil place, Cajun Crack’n, which was about 15 mins away. We ordered 2lb sprimp mussel combo / house special sauce / spice lvl medium(?) & a half order of oysters. Psttt this was my first time having seafood boil.. don’t roast me on this. I have to say… it’s quite good… IF ONLY MY SPICE TOLERANCE WAS BETTER or if IT WERENT SO SPICY. The oysters were good tho!

They changed their name as “After bar and grill…” so it took us a while to find the restaurant. The food is like other Cajun restaurants. They won’t provide crab cracker unless you asked for it. They have a big bank at night from 9pm, very loud, with more than 10 people.
