The Duchess is an English Pub with an Asian-fusion menu. We dined on the restaurant side – maybe we would’ve enjoyed the bar side more.

The food was solid overall. We ordered the Kala Mule ($14) and international dateline ($10) for drinks, along with the gochujang tteokbokki ($24), grilled duck rice bowl ($39), and typhoon fries ($12). The grilled duck was cooked beautifully to medium-rare perfection, but the rest of the rice bowl was underwhelming. While the dishes were filling, the flavors didn’t quite live up to expectations. The typhoon fries, however, were delicious and perfect for sharing.

The atmosphere was both beautiful and cozy, but the noise level was overwhelming — a mix of loud conversations and music that made it hard to relax. The tables were packed so tightly that it felt cramped. At one point, a family seated beside us had their daughter knock over the candle on our table, and her sleeve even ended up in my entrée.

The staff were friendly and attentive throughout the meal, though we ended up waiting quite a while for the check. The restaurant was absolutely packed, which likely contributed to some of the chaos.

If you’re sensitive to noise or prefer a calmer dining experience, it’s best to visit during a slower time — like a weekday lunch instead of a busy evening. For us, it was a one time experience, and we won’t be returning.

A really stand out restaurant, great food and great service!
The staff were very nice and had great insights on the menu. We got brunch with appetizers and dessert. Everything was delicious
The lumpia and typhoon fries were excellent appetizers, well sized to split between two people.
I got the steak loco moco, it was prepared perfectly and all the flavors blended well. Other members of my party get the spam and egg donburi, togarashi karaage and waffle, and the breakfast buttie. Everyone was very happy with their meal.
The ube flan for dessert was delicious and rich but not at all heavy.
Highly recommend!

I chose The Duchess for an 11-person dinner event and we got the Countess Table as our private dining menu. Amanda was so easy to work with and made adjustments to include more vegan options for our two vegan friends. The wait staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, and the food was amazing! The whole group was impressed from the moment they walked in to when we left. Small details like making a vegan version of the typhoon fries (which i didn’t even ask for!), and rushing out the desserts because they knew we had to go to another event at 8pm really made the experience. It was not easy to find a restaurant that can host a party of 11, has great vegan options, and within a reasonable price range, and they really delivered! Some standouts in my opinion were the stir fried lotus root, all the skewers, and the desserts (chocolate namelaka and ube flan). The drinks were also incredible and the bathrooms were nice. Can’t recommend highly enough for big groups and will probably return for a little date night 🙂

There were no tables on a busy Friday night last week so we opted for the bar, which turned out to be great. I have a very limited diet due to health reasons and I expressed my acidity intolerance when asked if we had any allergies.
This was the first restaurant to take it seriously.
The bar tender Walter and the manager worked together to create a custom menu for me. This made ordering so much easier. I’m usually hesitant to go somewhere new due to my limited options but just because of this, the Duchess will be a new rotation for us. Not to mention we both loved what we ordered, I got the chicken sando and my husband got the pub meal of the day which was a beef pot pie. 10/10 experience.

We went for dinner because my wife had heard good things about it. The service was great and I enjoyed the food immensely although my wife felt that the short rib was underwhelming. Drinks were good and the decor was elegant. Our booth did a a very small table though. They do have valet service but they only had one and he was overwhelmed. Took us a while to get our car back.

Small servings, very delicious and worth the cost. My main critique was the odd circular triangular chairs in the dining room. They were all at different heights and widths and the one I was sat in was very high up, and made it really hard to relax comfortably. Thankfully I could ignore that for a while, but I was giggling with a friend about how uncomfortable it was at the beginning. I would still come back though!

This is a new restaurant on the rise. The food was scrumptious and nicely seasoned. We all enjoyed the creativity of the delectable cocktails. Olga provided professional service. She provided a detailed explanation of food and drink. Provided recommendations to us as it was our first time dining here. The only knock on the restaurant that I have is that the portions were small for the price.
Kudos to the chef and staff! We definitely will be back to try some of the other cocktails and dishes.

Went here for an early dinner/date night on a Saturday. We had reservations and were brought to our table right away. The decor here is beautiful and unique, can’t think of anywhere else in Baltimore like it, perfect for the neighborhood.
We both ordered mocktails, and the Aloha Cooler was a standout, but all the drinks were bright and aesthetically pleasing.
Our service was impeccable, with our server doing a great job of describing the menu items and helping with recomendations, and the support team clearing plates to provide space right as it was needed. No water glass ever reached below half full.

Now…the food…WOW!
Between the two of us we ordered 7 dishes and shared everything, as that’s how the menu is set up. Each dish was as good or better as the last , and by the end the bar was high! Everything was also brought out piping hot which is impressive considering how busy it was and how many dishes we ordered. The Pancit and the Crispy Shrimp and Corn patties were probably are favorites but if you asked me tomorrow I may say the Shortrib Kate Kare. The fish & chips were also stellar. Really cannot wait to get back and try so much more of the menu.
The prices for the amount of food and great flavor were extremely reasonable.

WOW‼️
My friends just moved to Baltimore and haven’t really explored the area so we treated them to brunch here and it was so delicious.
We started with the fries which were so damn good they stood no chance against us.
My boyfriend and I got the mimosas which were also yummy and after two of them I was
And to share my boyfriend and I split the ube pancakes and steak rice which I wish I was eating right now it was soooo gooood.
The wait staff was super friendly and helpful and the manager Tess was awesome.
I will absolutely be coming back next time I visit and I think everyone needs to come here if youre visiting Baltimore

After eating here for a second time, I am even more pleased. Excellent food and cocktails! The cozy atmosphere and great service make for a relaxing dining experience. All of which was more impressive considering we went on a holiday weekend. The menu items are both familiar yet brand new as the flavors and textures are layered and playful. The tteokbokki was swoon worthy and the duck was cooked perfectly. The tres leches was a stand out special and recommend it become a regular menu item. Overall, 10/10 would recommend.
