FINALLY!! I stopped and went inside the place where I always passed by and said , “I should stop there !” It’s a cool little,instantly Kentucky cozy, general store . There’s nostalgic signage all along the walls, and I’m guessing what are look, but don’t touch older looking toys on top of shelves . There’s 3 or 4 shelves holding various products and very basic grocery items. On the other side of that are the dining tables, of which there are roughly a dozen . It was a cold and overcast day,so I chose a sunshine table ,trying to absorb all 99billion kilvenite coming slow motion through the window ! Luckily, the lunch special was a bowl of piping hot chili and grilled cheese on Texas toast ! Let me describe it in my Kentucky French, De` Freaking Licious !! Service was awesome, and with a smile ! Bill paid , no dessert (this time), and belly full ,left a happy customer. Can’t wait to come back !

Food is always homemade and sooo yummy and the staff is fantastic! So nice and helpful. We love to visit and try new things. Today’s special was a Salisbury steak meal. Everything we’ve had there is great! Only downfall is we didn’t leave room for dessert!

We hadn’t visited since new owners had purchased. It was a sad step away from what had been created with the previous owners.
We were a party of 4.
We all ordered steak hoagies and 1 ordere breadsticks with cheese. The gentleman did not know what breadsticks with cheese was we had to point it out on the menu. He brought out one plate, a hoagie and 2 breadsticks (there are 4 in an order). The hoagie was cold and not made correctly and one of the breadsticks had mold on it and they were hard. We did not stay.
I can’t say that we will be back.

Wife and I stopped in for lunch. I got the “Hot Mama” burger and added bacon to it. It was two 1/3 pound ground beef patties covered with jalapenos and melted pepper jack cheese. It was absolutely delicious. My wife tried some and said it was the best burger she has ever had. I also had a side of onion rings and they were also fantastic. Wife got “The Big D” burger that was similar to a Frisch’s Big Boy burger. She said it was very good along with the “6 minute fries”. Place was a little chilly as it looked like they may have been catering another party soon and they kept taking tons of things out the door. No big deal. People were friendly and the place was nice. Would definitely recommend. A tad on the pricey side.
