The great reviews I’ve read about Hunan Garden must be from people who don’t know any better and certainly are not from Chinatown or New York. The food was not great at all. The chicken fried rice was mushy and the chicken was elastic. The shrimp in black bean sauce looked really appetizing, but one bite told me that was not the case. How do you make mushy rice…and fried rice at that? And what chicken is like a rubber band? Our meal cost over $50.00; a waste. I will not be returning.

Hunan Garden is our go to for quick Chinese food! We order for pick-up about once a month. The food is ready quickly, it’s always hot and fresh, and – most important – it’s delicious! The Crispy Beef is my FAVORITE entree (and often hard to find on a menu). The lunch specials can’t be beat, and they do deliver if needed. The staff is also very friendly. Pro tip: Call in your order for pick-up, and you’ll get the best prices!

My family’s favorite take out! We order from here regularly and we are always happy with our meal. Our favorite dishes…Bourbon Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Gen Tsos Chicken, and my wife loves their egg drop soup. Their portions are very generous and is usually enough to cover two meals. The staff is always friendly.

I have been TRYING to find a Chinese Food place around here forever, that I really enjoy. Every place has been OK, I am used to Alexandria/Fairfax area that has so many great choices. I tried Hunan Garden tonight on a whim, I was just REALLY craving GOOD food. It was AWESOME everything was SO good, I’m pretty picky. Even the spring rolls we great! My family got beef with broccoli, bourbon chicken, chicken lo mein & chicken fried rice. Not crazy choices but you would be surprised how many places mess those up. The whole family loved it! I hope it was just a 1st timer fluke because I hope to make this OUR place 🙂
