specialTEA Lounge & Café is such a cute and relaxing spot! The moment you walk in, the vibe is calm, cozy, and super welcoming. Their drink menu is amazing so many unique teas, matchas, and specialty drinks to pick from and everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully made. It’s the kind of place where you can actually sit, unwind, and enjoy your drink instead of feeling rushed. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was peaceful, and the whole space has that perfect little café aesthetic that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. Whether you’re studying, grabbing a drink with someone, or just treating yourself, this café is such a gem.

I met for a quick business coffee meeting at this place, and it was quite welcoming. We both ordered coffee, which came in this super cute mug. The service and coffee were fantastic.

It’s great that you can sit on couches rather than chairs, making it a more relaxing place to hang out.

I normally love coming here to study and do homework because it’s always nice and quiet. The food and drinks are always great and I normally love the customer service. However, I came today and I experienced horrible service. Firstly, my friend came 5 min before I did and she sat in 1 of the 3 booths that were available. She was then approached by the cashier and said booths are reserved for more than one person and asked how far the party is. This didn’t really bother us since it is a rule, but we thought it was just a little annoying given it was super empty. Immediately when my other friend and I arrived, we were approached by the same cashier and she said in a rude tone “outside food and drinks are not allowed in here”. Now, it is not what she said, but how she said it and how she approached us. Honestly, we hadn’t thought it was a big deal because it was coffee my friend made from home, it wasn’t really another coffee shop brand. But like I said we would have been super understanding if she wasn’t just so rude about it. Then I walked up to order and she just had an overall attitude while taking my order that I was so close to just leaving and taking my money elsewhere. I don’t know if she had a bad day or something, but it’s absolutely unacceptable to treat customers, let alone people like that. I hope to never experience this type of service ever again, because I truly do love this place.

I love SpecialTEA!! Some delicious food and some amazing French pressed coffee better than any chain coffee shop. You can even pick the country of your coffee beans and there is also a wide range of different teas to choose from. I like to order wraps from here as they are filling, delicious, and very reasonably priced. I order lunch from here all the time.

The inside is also great if you want to get work done or have a chill time with friends. There are couches in the center and shelves full of books and board games to choose from.

Highly recommended!

Me and my girls go to spot to get work done. They are open until 11pm We get a large tea pot flavor blood orange to be exact!!! So good. Place gets packed on Tuesday and Wednesdays. We love the cookies! That’s our reward at the end. For the food Can’t really say much haven’t had much of it but the bacon ranch wrap was good. I don’t really recommend their matcha i have had better matcha at other places.

I last ate here with a friend and his niece in December. Before that, I’ve eaten here several times for dinner, especially during my college years, with it being near FIU. My go-to is vegan Ay Chihuahua wrap; it definitely has a kick to it, and the more bites I take, the spicier it tastes. My favorite beverages are the frozen cookies n creme drink with mint, and my second is spiced chocolate (cinnamon and chocolate) frozen creme drink. The cookies n cream with mint is refreshing and soothes my mouth of the spiciness from the Ay Chihuahua. The place has expanded, which I’m happy about. It’s a cute cafe, similar to Starbucks, where they make teas, coffees, and you can choose different plates in the forms of wrap, sandwich, bowl, or salad. If you have a student ID, you might be able to get a discount; I ask maybe because I don’t know if they still do this. This is a cute small place for students to study while they drink or eat like Starbucks, but they don’t have many outlets. It’s a little pricey, so it’s a place I go to occasionally to enjoy and treat myself. Vegan and vegetarian friendly.

Note: the pictures are from a more recent visit.

Been going for a year. Love the food especially all the chicken pesto varieties. Also love farmer’s harvest and coco curry. The cookies are SOOOO good and affordable, everything’s affordable. Staff is always pleasant and attentive. Gets full quickly so be conscious of that, but overall a wonderful place!

Great spot for vegans! Extensive vegan menu and everything is clearly marked. So many teas and coffees to choose from too. Food and drink menus are imaginative and came out tasty. Cold brew was great. Quick and helpful service. Clean bathroom.

I went here for breakfast on a weekday. I ordered a large cafe mocha and an egg, cheese, and bacon croissant with spinach. Service was friendly in a casual atmosphere. The mocha was very good, and the ingredients in the croissant were tasty, but the croissant itself was pasty and undercooked. Not sure I would get that again, but I definitely recommend the coffee. Plus the atmosphere is cozy to read a book, play a game (they have a bookcase full of board games), or work on your computer.

Support your local business buy skipping Dunkin’ or Starbucks! This place is way better.
It’s a very reasonable place that has a good vibe, friendly staff, and mostly good food and drinks.
They also have some board games, so it’s a nice area to meet up and hang out or study.
I’m not a fan of their boba but everything else I’ve thoroughly enjoyed.
I’m not vegan and the vegan cookies were good enough that I didn’t even realize they were vegan. They have a few alternative milk options for drinks as well.
