Great staff who work the main bar and restaurant area! Relatively affordable for an up scale place like this! Also the food is to die for! I’m just sad they removed the jalapeño dip from the complementary rolls! It was amazing! Highly recommend the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos!

Excellent food, wonderful service and a nice, comfortable atmosphere.
We stayed at the Lodge for a few nights but only ate there for dinner once and breakfast once. We wanted to try other food venues in the area. Also, the prices were a bit steep for us to eat there every meal, so we were selective. We thoroughly enjoyed the meals we had. The only regret that we couldn’t try everything we wanted. Perhaps next time.

Great place to go eat, everything was outstanding. No complaints, the cocktails were very good as well. I went to just eat but thinking about coming to stay next time.

We had good service and the place is nice….I would increase my rating if the food was a bit better. Not saying it’s bad at all, but for the price (not complaining about price but I want to pay more and get more) It’s a little lacking.
I got the venison chops medium rare and they came out medium +…not the end of the world but the mashed I got as my side was pretty bland and dry as anything. The grilled veggies were ok but a little under seasoned as well.
My wifes lobster roll was absolutely dreadful. The bread was like a thick cut hotdog bun and the meat was overcooked as anything and lacking flavor… didn’t seem like they used real butter either.
The French onion soup was pretty good and seemed fresh. The Ceasar salad was mediocre because the greens weren’t super crisp and it just seemed half heartedly put together…. possibly because we were the last table of the night?
Overall as locals, we want to give it another try and are hoping to have an awesome experience !

I absolutely love this place. It’s so pretty and a nice warm comfortable atmosphere to eat in. The location is awesome. The only thing id like to see more of is more items on the menu. Especially some more Italian dishes and appetizers. That would make us visit alot more.

We had chicken riggies w Chicken and the Ahi Tuna. Riggies needed a tad more sauce but were delicious. Hubs liked the ahi tuna but the rice was luke warm and undercooked. Pricey for what we got. Bread was good, hubs liked the jalapeno jam that came with it.

The place feels very generic, a very bland atmosphere with minimal decorations trying to feel like a cozy lodge but not doing it right. Artwork was terrible, I would definitely recommend sourcing artwork from some of the amazing local vendors instead of what’s there.
The food is also very lacking with some very odd decisions (deep fried brussel sprouts?!?). I tried the smash burger at lunch and it was surprisingly flavorless.. I also tried the chicken riggies at dinner and they were decent although the veggies were barely cooked (peppers were still very crispy and not soft like they should be in this dish). For the price of the dishes I expected much better quality. Service was ok although our dinner waitress disappeared for about 20 mins while I was waiting to get the check.

My wife and I stayed at the tail water lodge for our 10-year anniversary. I called The tail water restaurant the day before and let them know that we were staying there for our anniversary and asked if I could set up a dinner reservation. The girl who helped me over the phone was very friendly and accommodating. When we showed up the next day for our reservation the hostess immediately knew who I was and said she took my reservation the day before and remembered me. Again, she was extremely friendly and accommodating. She immediately sat us. Our waitress was also very friendly and accommodating. She was very quick with getting us our drinks from the bar. My wife and I were both very satisfied with our mixed drinks. We ordered a personal flat bread pizza for an appetizer for my wife and I to share. It was really good! My wife ordered the veggie burger with the garlic fries and I ordered the Reuben with the garlic fries. My wife said the veggie burger was one of the best that she has had. We both agreed that the garlic fries were amazing! Unfortunately, my Reuben was very tough and I am not a complainer so I just ate almost half of it and when the waitress asked if I wanted a box I told her no thank you. She asked me if everything was all right. I told her that Reuben was a bit tough. She apologized and asked if she could get me something else. I declined as I didn’t want to order a whole new meal. She also said because it was our anniversary that they were treating us to a desert. We ordered some kind of apple crisp with ice cream and it was awesome! When the waitress came back and brought us our bill she let us know that she had removed the Reuben and did not charge us for the dessert and apologized again. Even though my Reuben was not very good they did everything right to correct the situation and I still believe they absolutely deserve the five star rating as everything else was perfect.
