The bb.q in our name stands for Best of the Best Quality, and that’s exactly what you can expect from every one of our restaurants. Our Korean fried chicken is crispier, juicier, and more tender than anything you’ve tasted before, and our sauces provide an eclectic mix of flavor. Every dish is the result of both longstanding Korean tradition and modern research and development from our very own Chicken University. It’s a tremendous amount of work, but it’s all worth it when you take that first bite.

Even though it as empty at opening, I was advised that food takes about 15 mins, since they prepare everything fresh to order – ok by me! I love fresh, hot food, and I was eating in.
They offer a variety of different Korean-inspired sauces for the chicken… a few are available as 1/2 or whole chicken (4 or 8 pieces), which I was informed includes legs, thighs and breasts – no wings, which have an entire separate section on the menu all by themselves. Wings are offered as the traditional, bone-in, or boneless.
Surprisingly, the boneless “wings” aren’t wings at all – the nice lady said they were chicken thighs in the same krispy fried coating, and then sauced, same as the bone-in offerings. There were about a dozen or so different sauce options, ranging from sweet and savory, to hot and spicy, and everything in between. I went with the honey soy, I think.
I went to grab my plasticware, which is individually wrapped in… you guessed it… plastic. However, I found forks and spoons, but no knives. Figuring they were simply needing to be restocked, I asked, but was advised they do not provide the plastic knives?!
When my food was delivered, nice and hot – and smelling SO good, the first thing I noticed was that the boneless “wings” were HUGE. Like really big!! Personally, I don’t always like eating with my hands (at least not sauced boneless giant pieces of chicken), so I basically had no choice but to gnaw off my fork. Note: They may not have knives, but they DO have boxes of those thin plastic food server gloves available… I still chose to go with the gnawing off the plastic fork option.
The chicken was quite good, and the fried breading was light, and not greasy. It wasn’t at all like what I think of when I think of traditional fried chicken – it felt more like the texture of a crispy funnel cake. But the flavor – SO good!! The steamed side of rice I ordered… boring, not sticky rice, just average, didn’t eat much of it. But the chicken I’d get again.
I can see why it’s usually so crowded in there. Very different flavor, and different food offering from what’s available pretty much ANYwhere around. Just wish they offered the wrapped plastic knives for those of us who prefer not to eat super fresh and hot, sauced food with our hands.
I went today and I ate in a hurry and I forgot to took a picture.. I tried 4 flavor garlic honey, soy sauce, cheesling and Gangnam. I would think Gangnam was one of unique sauce and I really liked it but rest of it I just enjoyed it. I’m back home and I’m having Kimchi fried rice. I will do diet tomorrow as always… Good luck y’all
The tteokbokki was as expected, creamy and tasty with the right spice.
